Ginseng
Holy cow. Stay safe, Ken. Remember, cabs are pretty air tight. If the situation gets dire, strap a couple together and you've got the best smelling raft ever made. Wilkey

SmokinLightning
Having once been flooded out of a home (yes... in Arizona!), that would have me shitting bricks. Good luck mate... maybe when things dry out it's time to look into some cement embankments... if the house is still there that is.

Ethernut
Much symathy for you my brother. Stay safe.. Your plight did remind me of an old joke though.. Maybe it'll lift your spirits. A guys house started to flood by a river and he prayed to God to save him. So immediately, a boat pulls up to his front door and they ask him to get in, the gentleman replies that he'll wait for God to save him and the boat moves on. The Flood reaches the base of his roof and another boat comes by to which the man still holds fast the God will save him. The river continues to advance to the point that the man is standing on his tip toes at the top of the roof and a helicopter drops a ladder down but the man shouts up that he's waiting for God to save him. A few minutes later he drowns and wakes up in heaven. God is standing over him. The Man angrily asks why he did save him and God repies, "I sent you two boats and a helicopter, what more did you want"?
