The MXT is a huge box. I am very satisified with the one I bought.

As for buying bigger, consider Czar's cigar locker for overflow -- especially of cigars you want to be unable to touch for several years.

Is that a MXT 26.5?

How do you control temperature?

My THC Aristocrat widebody is great but I have already outgrown it, sadly I am going to sell it so I can upgrade it. The unit I have is only 8 months old.

I am looking at possibly skipping the THC model.

I would like your opinion on the temperature aspect.

Congrats!! Have had my Aristocrat for over 10 years and I love it. One of the best all round purchases I've ever made...

Wow! Nice to see an old thread pop up...

especially when the likes of Van and Tampa are still giving us their 2 cents worth.

Bought my Aristocrat Plus 48 in 2009. Still doing a great job looking after my cigars.

Still looks fantastic. I've had to recalibrate the system once! Still spot on.

Bob's the best!

For all u guys that own one.. I'm thinking on pulling the trigger on a cabinet.. I've been having issues on just getting a tower cab from cheaph... Or just save the cash to get a aristocrat one... What would u recommend and what to add in it.. Looking to stay with a tower option one?!! Thx all...

Franko, I took delivery of an Aristocrat M Plus Cabinet last July, and I am loving it. Keeps the rH at the exact level I set & absolutely no maintenance issues. I don't know what maintenance issues the poster above is referring to, but I've never heard of any complaints about Bob's boxes. He's a pure pleasure to work with and he performs as promised.

This is a great question. I would also like to know what options really improve the humidor experience for people who have gone with upgrades.

I think it you have the money go for it. They look like true quality workmanship and a real lifetime buy.

If you're not bothered about aesthetics then go with wine fridges or tupperdors etc. Even buy or make a regular cupboard to house them in.

I had Bob build a custom sized cabinet for me, with pelt coolers and humidification, to fit an existing space in our previous house. I've had mine going on eight years, and it's been flawless. Our new home has AC so coolers aren't really required. RH varies a point or so from top to bottom, but my cabinet is tall and slender (like a phone booth). The variation is trivial, doesn't seem to effect anything.

Construction was perfect, performs wonderfully, I'd buy another (bigger) one tomorrow.....ok.gif

I have the Mxt 26.5 and it is great. If I did it over again, I would get the cooling option despite having ac and, of course, an even bigger one... Mine varies about 4% top to bottom. I installed fans which help just a little but have stopped worrying about it. I try to stay around 61% so a little variation doesn't concern me too much. Enjoy!
