I was at a nice restaurant last Saturday with my fiancee and for desert they served a chocolate ganache slice, with maple syrup and tobacco ice cream! They even had on the menu, a small cigar list!

It was really good; it reminded me of Ken's mouth watering desert he had in Spain, made with Partagas D4 ash! So I just had to take a picture to show you guys.

By the way Ken, will there be a 2009 dbwwm? You have at least one reader in Toowoomba waiting! :nyah:

Cheers,

George

hi george

sounds terrific.

mine was not from the ash, as such, but rather they attached a lit patagas D4 to a vacuum machine while using the ice-cream maker. the machine was attached the ice-cream maker. it brought in the smoke into the ice-cream while they made it. fabulous stuff.

i think the dessert was called havana dreams. the restaurant was el cellar can roca in girona, north of barcelona. my absolute fave restaurant on the planet and the most magnificent wine list.

i simply cannot take michelin ratings seriously while this remains on two and not three stars.

VERY cool George!

While at the RTDA two years ago, one cigar mfg had tobacco infused chocolate that was great. Casa Fuente in Vegas uses tobacco infused Grand Marnier in their mojitos as well.

Always cool to hear about new stuff, thanks!
