Van55 Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 » I will drip feed a few over the next couple of days. » » Cohiba Siglo VI Aug 03 .........classic now. Already classic soon after release. The 03 Siglo VI were phenomenal. I smoked them too soon.
mrcoin Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 » We all have cigars spread out over numerous years, marques and vitolas. We » have those we enjoy, those we hope beyond hope that they will improve, and » then we hold those gems that we know currently are or will » become classics/legends 6/6 smokerings or 95+/100 works of Habanos » art. » » In your heart of hearts list what you have in that final category. To make » your personal list you can have no doubt. If possible list box code » or at least year. » The list will invariably be small so if not a classic now, estimate how » much more time they need to become one. » » Remember....current and future classics only. Cigars which are (or you are » certain will become) the epitome of Habanos greatness. Every time I try to think of a true winner when someone asks a question like this, my mind constantly goes to the Habano Festival 2000 Commemorative Cigar. You remember, the P/C with the black label and the word Habanos in red script printing across the band. Most if not all were made in March of 2000. If you can still find them they are sure to be, if not already a classic of all time in my book.
El Presidente Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 Some cigars are being put up repeatedly which is a hell of a good sign for those seeking a common line of thought. Ed I agree witht the Millenium Habanos 2000 Mareva's, That was a classic example of a cigar which most had a hard time selling at that period but became immensely sought after three - four years later. Some others I believe will be "greats" Ramon Allones Estupendo. Edmundo Dante Early 2007 898 Varnished

laficion Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 » Bolivar Inmensas POS ENE 06 Hello hoyopr, For me, you hit it on the nail, these Bolivars Immensas are great now. Maybe they will get better but I can't wait any longer. It's been a long time that I haven't tasted such good Bolivars. These remind me of the Bolivar Gold medal of the late 70's. Rich and aromatic, intense, meaty and It would fill the air with such sweet smell that ,at the time, they were my wife's favorite cigar that she liked for me to smoke? And since I'm a *****, I craked a box of H upmann Mag 50, KBE May 05 also

Buch0 Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I am surprised the Cohiba Esplendido has not had a mention for the current classic as of yet. IMO it is by far one of, if not the best CC around at the moment, followed closely by the Siglo VI. Another current classic could be the R & J Churchill.
aavkk Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I am also surprised to have not read even a single mention of Punch SS#2's. Im curious why after reading such accolades for this smoke why it hasnt made the list? I smoked my first one last week from 01 and it was a great experience.

On that basis I would add first release Magnum 50 to it.
