winelover Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 » My indefinite above picture genuine and fake But what I share two pictures » to be possible to determine for everybody was this is not the imitation » already pulled out two months ago to Montecristo El 08 Not quite sure that your pics amount to 'conclusive proof'. Furthermore, no matter how much you want to believe your cigars are genuine, even if somehow a torcedor stole some cigars for himself and put them in the glass top 3 box, they certainly do not amount to official habanos SA release cigars. It is incomprehensibly stupid (translate that one :-P ) to begin a first post touting such dubious (and not to mention inauthentic and down right fake) cigars on a first post. Furthermore, the fact that you accept that you are not a cigar smoker does not unfortunately add any credence to your claim that they are genuine.
perfectform Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 How come I can't find these on this site for sale? Do you guys have the other EL's is the glass tops yet?

El Presidente Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Just a wrap up on this or at least my perspective. We all know the Monte Sublime does not come in packs of 3. I have tried Monte Sublime from Habanos s.a (given at an official tasting), I have tried Monte Sublime procured from Cuba and gifted to me by members, I have tried Monte Sublime gfted to me by friends/factory managers in Havana. None of them have tasted the same. The only certain genuine Monte Sublime I have tasted is the one at athe HSA tasting but that is not to say that the others are fake. * The HSA tasting cigar could have been a slightly different blend intended to impress. * Storage conditions of all three sources were different. * Smoking conditions (heat/humidity/aircon/) at different tastings were different. They could all have been genuine. I simply have not had enough Monte Sublimes to conclusively call one a fake or otherwise so I don't know how others at this point can. Until regular production Monte Sublimes come out ....the jury is out. I would avoid however Glass top three packs of Monte Sublimes ;-)
