Tampa1257 Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Cookie, 1. There are no sales allowed here at FOH. 2. The cigars in your photos are Fakes. Habanos does NOT sell ANY glass top see through boxes. PERIOD. 3. You are instructed to email [email protected] before you will be allowed to post again because I am blocking your account until you prove to El Prez that you are not a Tosser as well as a Wanker that you have thus far shown yourself to be. 4. Thanks for the laugh! Tampa1257 FOH Moderator
El Presidente Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 I will not delete this thread so that everyone can see how pervasive fakes are. As for our mate Cookie5877....first post and he is selling fakes. Nice work Tosser. Thanks for taking out the trash Chuck :-)

How FN stupid is this bloke.
craigos Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Big Slick I have to ask - did you get in posession of those nice 'glass tops' on purpose? Or are they photos of some trips south of the Rio Grande? Laughed my ass off --- I see this on ebay now and again. One guy I wrote and told him (he was selling some glass top esplendido's) - he swore up and down he has been smoking glass tops for nearly a decade and at considerable expense. Poor guy went ape when I pointed him to the web pages that showed how to spot a fake. The other night I was on YouTube looking for sucklings videos and ran across a guy who had cohiba sublimes, torpedos, and esplendidos (50 of each) layed out on his bed video recording them - he was so proud of his collection -- i was laughing so loud to see all the EL labels had the wrong years (and yes the esplendidos were EL too). A friend of mine called me from La Plaz just two days ago and said "I scored a box of montes #2 for $100 .. " LOL..... it goes on and on. Touch wood - someone introduced me to FOH very early into my cigar hobby and I am so grateful to not have to learn these expensive lessons. Craig
cigarros Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 I saw similar cigars here in Russia but all of them fake!
strayvector Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Hey Prez, how'd the counterfeiters get the Monte EL 2008 before us? I want my Sublimes.
habanohal Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 I was actually gonna pick up a few boxes of the glass top in Aruba and start a collection :-D
joeypots Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Ease up fellows. Even if they are fake, they are still Cuban tobacco and are very, very, good cigars. LOFL Someone actually said that to me about ten years ago when I told him his cigars were not authentic.

Cracks me up! :-D

I have stayed away from many of the online forums and retailers because I am overly cautious and a big skeptic. This forum and another were very HIGHLY recommended because of the trustworthiness of the members. My few encounters with Lisa and the prez have been over the top. I look forward to sticking with the true BOTL here. Thanks for putting me at ease! Brian

Good to see a neighbor around here. I don't post much, but have been working with El Jefe and Lisa for a number of years now. If you've enjoyed yourself so far, just stand by. Although, I do feel kind of cheated, as Rob never once offered to sell me any of those primo glass-top boxes. :-D He does, however, have my undying gratitude for spending beaucoup hours in the early days, steering me away from stupid crap decisions and putting me onto much better cigars. I doubt that other purveyors would make the effort with a clueless newbie. CG
