A great review!

I do like the final correlation you used to Switzerland, Italy and France for your descriptions.

It makes me want to take a trip to Europe!

Very nice review. I pulled one out the other week, it burned terrible but the flavor was great!

I like the Kafka FP. I got one the day they came out.

I just smoked one of these two days ago. Your review is spot on! I think that in a few years time these will be very special. I have two boxes of these puppies stashed in the humi.

Thanks guys for all your comments,

Jokermann: i am rather impressed that you picked out that it was a Mt Blanc Kafka pen I was using. Love that pen, got the set and they are really nice looking and a perfect writing instrument. Nice to a have another FP friend here on the board.

I have a rotation of 3 Fountain Pen and 1 Roller Ball, all Mont Blanc.

I have a Kafka FP, Boheme FP, Poe FP and a Gold and silver Roller.

Do you have any other than the Kafka set?

I am bit of a collector but not in the way that you look at them, I love to use them. The kafka is the first one I went for the whole set, and I just love using them. My favorites are also the hemmingway and my trusty Meisterstuck 149

I should start saying I haven't had one for a while, so really looked forward to this one because I really like it that last time.

Construction: Wrapper feels rough, dark brown, it looks a bit like a maduro, but thats not the case. Wrapper feels really dry, a bit like old leather.

Smell: Clear chocolate tones, a bit of leather and dry tobacco.

Draw: Very smooth, not to tight, not to loose, just perfect

Taste: Light roosted tobacco, sweet chocolate tones and a bit of spice on the tong.

First third

Huge amounts of sweet white smoke, start out with rather much pepper, but after 2-3 draws its just a hint of it. There is a hint of chocolate, and the smell of the smoke is large amount of sweet milk chocolate.

Cigar give huge amount of smoke, its a medium body cigar with no burn issues. This cigar is sweet, but not to sweet, like a really good chocolate pudding with some coffee at the side, tones of leather and earth start to show up, main tone is sweet chocolate and coffee.

image7196.jpg

Second third

This cigar has no burn problem, and even when treated quite bad it don't turn harch. It start going to the more powerful side of medium cigars, more earth tones start to show up but still basic hoy taste, spiciness/white pepper has disappeared

Last third

Cigar has grown more, more complex tones has turned up, more earth, cherry or plum jam but still sweet milk chocolate with some expresso coffee. Some of the pepper has showed up. The smell is really nice, really nice tobacco tone with sweet chocolate, love it.

This is just a perfect cigar when you want to kick back and relax, never go harsh and just deliver all the time.

This cigar can be summed in a travel, starting in switzerland with some milk chocolate, down into Italy for some pepper toned wine and a small expresso and and in the end you are sitting in a bar in Paris with a beautiful women, on the table you have an expresso, some dark chocolate and in the air the smell from the local pastry next door.

Just perfect.

An easy 94 score, and with some age its up in the top layer
