Thanks for the review Evo

I am smoking a Bolivar Corona Junior TEB JUN 07

Slightly wet ( I should have dry boxed it ). Firm draw but eases up upon the first half inch to near perfect. No grassiness , plenty of spice but a dirty coal flavour interspersed with sweeter tobacco and cooking chocolate notes. Good aroma.

Halfway point now and I expect it to turn a little bitter. Will see.

Hey Prez

Glad your enjoying your Boli CJ. I think mine will lose their youth in the next 6 months. Until then, I've got a cab of Bolivar Petit Coronas from Feb 07 to keep me busy. Had one last week, and they're already fantastic.

Received a superb batch from Lisa last month. POS May 07. Tried one over the weekend. Very good and will get better. I prefer them over the PC.

This cigar is from a box I received last November. I've smoked a few out of the box, even though they seemed young.

The wrapper is darkish, slightly oily, and with a few veins. The smell at cold is sweet tobacco. I clipped the cap to reveal a small divot. The draw is slightly firm, and a little spicy. After lighting, the first puffs tasted of coffee and cocoa. There was a little grassiness, but not bad. This cigar was giving off a good amount of smoke.

Through the first third, the grassiness becomes more pronounced, holding it's own with the coffee and cocoa. But it never becomes overly sour or bitter. The burn was even with a uniform light gray ash. So far the flavor is not changing much.

After the first third, the light grassiness comes and goes. And the coffee and cocoa are stronger. This continues till I let it go out with an inch and a half left. Cigar is medium body, medium-full flavored.

These have definitely improved in the 6 months since I got them from the Czar. They had been somewhat bitter, with tight draws. I think they'll improve even more in the next 6 months, and hopefully lose the slight green taste completely.

85 today, hopefully 88-90 in 6 to 12 months. image6506.jpg
