I have just confirm that we will need a new venue as Belinda and Mark have had their last restaurant night at One Alfred Street yesterday. They have instead got new ventures in the Hunter Valley. They are going to be missed. Any suggestions where we can eat, drink, smoke and be merry.

Georges in Cockle Bay? http://www.georgesrestaurant.com.au/ Their King Street restaurant has a nice outdoor area with seating etc. These guys (Vardis Family) own Kingsleys as well so I'm sure they are still cigar friendly. Was there with ALB late last year for lunch and afternoon smoke - was no drama. ps Jay, can you find out about their new venture in the Hunter? would be great to find a smoke friendly place amongst the vineyards! jay8354
Hi Lisa, In response to your question, we will need the following: - When are you arriving in Sydney? Or better yet, when will you have rested and prepared to go out (this could be a double edge sword :-D, I maybe pressing my luck to far) - Where are you staying in Sydney? Will there be a need for you to catch a taxi if far (I think this really only applies to Rob) - Are you going to your demure self or the wild child who can drink all the guys under the table ? - Finally, the all important question - Are you bringing the corporate Credit card? I really only need to know the last one to be honest. I suggest the following, which is dependent on time of Arrival. 1. Arrive in Sydney and Cab to Hotel. 2. Assuming this is going to be in the CBD, may I suggest a 2 hr massage to relive the tension from the flight 3. Go back to hotel for a short nap and start to prepare 4. 3 hours later, ready for a few drinks. I would suggest if early enough with a visit to Lindt Chocolates for a hot chocolate before hitting the "harder" stuff 5. Meet some of the boys who work in the city for a drink... This one I will leave to those that are more knowledgeable than me. 6. Start to move towards King St Wharf 7. More drinks at the nearby James Squires (next door) while waiting for the rest of the guys to showup 8. Dinner, Drinks and cigars at Georges Bar and Grill 9. Maybe more drinks if there are anybody that can still walk
