bassman
» are they: » » Reprehensibly Exploitive » » Ridiculously Expensive » » Rarely Exceptional » » or: » » Really Excellent » » Rather Enticing » » or? All of the above, but some are damn good cigars. Of the ones I've smoked, Bolivar Simones, RA Eminencias & Estupendos and PL Robustos are excellent cigars. skindiver
I think the regionals have been better than the Edicion Limitadas of late, especially the Montecristo Conde 109's and the PL Magnificos, Lonsdales and Robustos. Not having access to all of them it's tough to generalize based on a few samples, but I think they are worth the price. I like 'em alot.

I am going to agree with Skindiver with one caveat; If I thought the RE's were too expensive, I probably would never enjoy them. Some are unimpressive to me: Juan Lopez Obus, Bolivar Colasales come to mind. I still need to give them both another chance. Standouts: VR Maestros; PL Magnificos; PL Robustos; El Conde 109's; and probably Bolivar DC's and ERdM Vikingos.

El Presidente
» Some are unimpressive to me: Juan Lopez Obus, Bolivar Colasales come to » mind. I am hoping that what we tasted of the 08 RE's in Havana transfers to the actual blend in regular production. If so then they will be stellar. Claudius
» Some are unimpressive to me: Juan Lopez Obus, Bolivar Colasales come to » mind. I still need to give them both another chance. Colosales were the disappointment of the year 2006, definitely. Obus are nice if you like mild. » Standouts: VR Maestros; PL Magnificos; PL Robustos; El Conde 109's; and probably Bolivar DC's and ERdM Vikingos. Bolivar DC I heard are very mild and disappointing. The ER that REALLY stands out is the RA Estupendos IMO.

Smallclub
Many of them are mild; I have had only one ERDM Vikingos and I found it more interesting than the Obus. The El Conde 109 is outstanding but its price seems to be out of control… :-(
Professor Twain
With the generally high quality of 2006 and later cigars, the extra cost for REs is just not worth it for me... When I can get a 50 Cab of RASS for less than 25 of RE, hard to justify choosing the RE.
