brooklyn Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Man, that is the holy grail! Good for you.:-)
anacostiakat Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Beautiful piece of work and collection. What do you keep it at with all that glass?
sje Posted February 28, 2008 Author Posted February 28, 2008 » Beautiful piece of work and collection. What do you keep it at with all » that glass? hi there, i am assuming you are talking about HUM and TEMP ? if so i keep the HUM at 65 to 71 (i try at 65) internal control TEMP i try my best to keep the room bewteen 17 and 22 DEG , but there are variations to this. i have toyed with the idea of a TEMP control unit from a small bar fridge or wine cooler but i dont want the internal battle between temp and HUM as both units would work to counter act eachother. as most of us know HUMIDITY of more important and that gets my focus.
jkorp Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Wow, that is just incredible! Well done on a great cabinet and a killer collection.
soren Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Great craftsmanship! You're going to need to start on the next one pretty soon by the looks of it
Tampa1257 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Beautiful Cabinet Humidor and collection. I was going to ask where are the Partagas yet you answered that. Thanks for sharing and I know that many down under have been looking for a quality Humidor maker. All the best! Tampa
sje Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 hi Fellow members of FOH, it is only due to the relaxed nature of the members here that i share with you all what is special and very private to me. (i hope uploading the pics works) this is my cabinet humidore, it was made for me (because i dont have the skill to make one myself) by MR ROB FINN, here in sunny melbourne AUstralia. it is made of solid african wenge (exterior) with solid spanishi cedar interior. not one ounce of MDF. it stands at nearly 7 ft tall and can fit up to 5 or 6000 cigars in their boxes. (yes i have a long way to go). i have been collecting and smoking cigars since 1996. she runs with 3 circulating fans and an electronic humidiy controler (in cabinet) i hope you like the pics. if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask.

scthornton Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I keep looking at that nice bottom row of jars! Nice humidor too! Wenge is very nice.
kjellfrick Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Great cabinet! Makes it much easier to pick the daily smoke too!
Don Candido Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I know this an older topic, but thanks to scthornton for adding a new post. It made me go back and take a look at sje's photo's, which of course, caused me to head directly to my humidor, pull a nice smoke, and then continue what I was doing. Cheers, DC
matthew261 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Magnificent: form, function and beauty! The humidor is nice too!
SmokinLightning Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Beautiful humidor! Soon it will get so full you won't be able to lay them out so nicely... they'll just be jammed in there however you can fit them! I love playing cigar-box tetris!
armedak Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Very nice set-up!! Definitely, puts my eclectic collection of cooledors to shame, but they do the job!
sharks Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 That looks bloody brilliant! One day in the future I may have to get in contact with you to get the address of the builder.
jeromeroselli Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I've seen smoke shops with smaller humidors. That is insane...
Miami101 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Nice photo, and great stock. I think I saw an old photo of your Humi some time ago, but you have it pack now.
BlueyHK Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Absolutely fantastic. That is much larger than most humidors found in cigar stores. I am envious!
Bolismoker Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Great looking craftsmanship on that cab. The builder seems to have outdone himself. Totally, beautiful.
