GP012 Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 VERY nice! Although I'm curious as to why you keep the jars open? MRN seems to feel that they will age more gracefully sealed (the Cohibas at least) IIRC.
SmokinLightning Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Beautiful humidor! Nicely done, mate!
Claudius Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 » it is made of solid african wenge (exterior) with solid spanishi cedar » interior. not one ounce of MDF. it stands at nearly 7 ft tall and can fit » up to 5 or 6000 cigars in their boxes. Sounds a bit optimistic to me for the quoted height. How wide is it?

shrink Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 She's a beaut, mate! I like the way that you can display open boxes. It gives a cigar-store feel to the presentation.

MRN seems to feel » that they will age more gracefully sealed (the Cohibas at least) IIRC. excellent question Gpugl, the original motivation for having this cabinet made was because i had boxes of cigars everywhere, with vendors, friends etc. once such place was a place called fidels, at crown casino. there were some very good staff there in the late 90s but there quite a high turnover of mangers and my jars were very poorly taken care of. the cohiba imo are ruined (strong smell of amonia or vinegar) although the other jars were very good i keep them open everyonce in a while to allow them to breath as much as possible. they are lid on most of the time. (still havnt recovered the cohibas) but live and learn.
