QuePsiPhiSmkr Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Does anybody have any experience with the 2000 Trini Fundis?
El Presidente Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 » Does anybody have any experience with the 2000 Trini Fundis? Not a patch on the 1998. Mid 1999 to end 2000 had some dicey rolls but flavour in a great box was very good. It was a 50/50 crapshoot during that time

I have never had a bad Fundadores, but I have heard many people say they were not always great. I must have been lucky. The tobacco coming out now is so good, I would look at current Fundadores or Ingenios, if you are thinking about buying some. I tried the Ingenios and thought it was very similar to the Fundadores blend, but perhaps a little more giving and rich.
brian1 Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Don I have some 07 Fundadores and while they look beautiful they taste like a young cigar. I wont be re-visting these for at least a year to see how they are progressing. I have a hunch that the lancero format needs some serious age more so than the big ring guage cigars which come into their own sooner. » » » Does anybody have any experience with the 2000 Trini Fundis? » » » » Not a patch on the 1998. Matthew Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Had a '98 last night that was fantastic - absolutely worthy of the vaunted reputation. Got a box of '00s which is merely okay. Flavors are muted in comparison with the '98s.
Ken Gargett Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 » Does anybody have any experience with the 2000 Trini Fundis? never had a TF that has got me excited but on reflection, i suspect most of mine (single stick buys at times) were probably around that time.
