And that, my friends, is how a once faithful husband finds himself with a mistress that he cannot forget, and will not deny...

Thanks again for another great review Prezzz....

I love this cigar, and yet have been very disappointed with consistency within boxes. You get a good cigar and the very next one is a letdown. Still, I love 'em.

I have a box that I am somewhat disapointed with, the weather has shortened smoking time and I seem to have a 2 to 1 ratio with these little puppies....:-(

I am always surprised when an 07 smokes exceedingly well. It wasn't long ago that the mere thought of a good smoking (complex) young Cuban cigar was a myth. I like the changes made since late 05. The true duds are becoming less and less.

Cohiba Siglo I OEB MAR 07

I have been a little unfaithfull of late. I sneak into the humidor in the am to choose my morning cigar and I am walking past my Trini Reyes. I love my Reyes but of late...I am making excuses to visit other parts of the humidor. "I just need to sample a Dip 5...Just a Principe today...Someone asked about a PL Panetela". All lies as I am just looking for a change of pace. Lately I have been heading over to Cohba Siglo I's corner of the establishment :lookaround: Siglo I was my previous morning "fling" before a few souless boxes turned me on to Trini Reyes. Dependable, creamy Trini Reyes who has been my coffee partner for almost a year. Love is a fickle thing.

Look at her...she is GORGEOUS! Ok...a little bumpy in area's but she is firm to the touch with a silk like skin and an aroma at cold of rich leaf and dark promises.

Cerrated the cap and to the lips the draw is a deam. Rich tobacco on the tongue mixed with dark roasted coffee beans.

Caressed the foot with the flame and she came alive with a blast of perfectly balanced pepper, black coffee and toasted tobacco. Siglo I satisfies immediately by delivering a richness, a fullness in body, a voluptuous mouthfeel all wrapped in a smoothness which is testament to her pedigree.

Before long cream mixed with a dash of espresso hits the senses and stays to entrench itself as the core profile. It blends itself with the highest quality rich toasted tobacco. Body is medium full, smoke is thick, pepper through the nose persistant and controlled. The burn is a little funky and the ash a little disheveled but this is a young cigar doing everything possible to fulfill a great start to the morning.

If anything the cigar reaches full body into the final third. The cream is going and Siglo I bucks and twists between throes of bitter chocolate, dark fresh brewed coffee and toasted Vuelta Abajo tobacco. I really can't fault the performance as it is completely satisfying and all enveloping. Right at the very end the finish is a little unconvincing almost as if she had run out of ideas and was just going through the motions but the time had come to put her down and I was not going to ask questions about 5 minutes in a what was an excellent 30 minute display.

90/100 5/6 Smokerings. Will visit again in the am ;-)
