Yeah I've got at least a dozen variations of that letter.

The best hoax email I got was supposed to be from the IRS. It said that someone had tried to pay their sales tax with my bank account, they wanted me to go to their website and confirm that it was my account.

Had a link that went to a website that looked just like IRS site with a form to enter account # etc.. everything they would need to access your account.

Even with all the mis-spelled words in the email I'm sure that it probably worked on some poor fools.

None from FOH as yet but plenty of similar emails.

If you want a giggle, check this site out where they play the scammers at their own game.

There are similar sites around and make interesting reading.

Recent attempts I've had from Nigerians is through Amazon, when I have put a couple of cameras up for sale. They email you through Amazon asking spurious questions, in order to get your email address. They then send a forged letter, supposedly from Amazon saying they have paid and would I send the camera to their uncle/brother/father/pastor in Nigeria.

Yeah right!

Those sites are a blast to read. I wish I had time do some of that myself.
