sluggo819 Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 » Some of the 06 Punch RS No. 11 are not for the feint at hart. I agree. My Jan. '06 RS 11 are unsmokable they're so strong. The '06 Cazadores are strong, but in a good way. Loved 'em The RS 11's are strong in a bad way. Maybe some day that bad will become good or so I hope.
pnutbutrsangwich Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Worst nicotine buzz came from a JUN 03 Monte C EL that I smoked 2 nights ago. I couldn't fall asleep and after I did, I woke up an hour later in a fit with my mind racing 100 mph with nonsense. Bad time lol. Strongest flavor came from a 99 Upmann PC. Just kick you in the teeth type strength. Quite good.
Smooth Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 BCJ - some are mellow and smooth, others show their youth by almost eating away at the lining of my mouth! Ryj Cazadores - Always strong. VR Famosos - the 06 of these are sometimes stronger than the Cazadores! Super strength, like a 16 year old kid that has been in the gym since he was 6!! I think an important point to remember, well from my personal point of view anyway is that all of these cigars when paired with a nice choice of beverage can be thouroughly enjoyable and can have excellent flavour profiles... Even when you are not totally in the mood for something that kicks you in the balls.
puros71 Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 I have smoking Cubans for many years and I think I got used to strong cigars. I heard many say the RyJ Cazadores was one of the strongest and I had one recently that didnt faze me. I would have to admit the one one the strongest cigars I ever had was a hand rolled I bought in the Partagas factory in Havana. It was a torpedo probably rolled by La China. This was when I was farely new to Cubans and I think it was a shock because the strength of the cigar had me spinning and wanting to vomit. I had to sit my ass down on a bench in the park next to the factory. But I was young a new to Cuban cigars. Now that same cigar wouldnt to do the say damage. I think Bolivar Corona Gigantes give a good nicotine kick as well as a good Montecristo 2.
Jimmy2 Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 I never been sick from a Cuban ever to me they are not strong (meaning making you sick) cigars like some non Cubans. One cigar that made me sick was a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel this will put you on your ass . Had the cold sweets ,weak and ready to yack was in bed for at least 1/2 hr. R&J Cazadores can smoke them all day long and won't have a problem. Never smoked an 06 but will get some singles soon and give a review. Puro71 you and me agree on the R&J Cazadores they are great but dont have the bite most say i think. This morning about 11:00am i smoked PLPC 06 ,Boli CG 04 and Royal Corona 07 and finished them around 2:30 pm without even eating. I really think it comes down to tolerance also i smoke 5+ (Cubans) a day so maybe i am used to it? I think some of you gents are girlie men.:-D
txcigarmadcap Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 One cigar that made me sick was a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel » this will put you on your ass . I would agree with this, not long ago my first LFD Doble Ligero Chisel Maduro left me with a mouth full of dirt.......still sratching my head on that one, of course it could have also been the scotch. As far as Cubans go this year has been dry for me but I had a Ramon Allones Gigantes that packed a decent punch maybe an aberration, still have a few left, will try again.
