Mike33 Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 ....well, maybe not always! These are some of the most inconsistent cigars I have had. The box I am currently smoking through is from April '06 and for the most part, really good cigars. However, what a wide spectrum in performance. Some have been utterly fantastic and made me want to buy several boxes to age, others have been good, and three or four have been downright horrible!! Anyone else as frustrated as I am:-|
Colt45 Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 » Anyone else as frustrated as I am:-| Not really - I also have a box from '06 (don't have the codes on hand). I've tried a few, and they seem to be quite rich, with a sense of power. But they are showing quite a bit of youth in the way of herbal bitterness. Once these smooth out I expect them to be very good.
winelover Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Not really, here in the UK, the monte 4's are about the only cigar I don't import and just buy singularly as tubos. Have to say that I have never ever had a bad one.
El Presidente Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 You have 25 puppies full of promise. Some are going to misbehave. Burn one in fromt of the rest as an example and put them away for 12 -18 months until they come out of the puppy stage. Makes a huge difference :-D
