Can you rank your Double Corona\'s For me.

Punch - smoking from an 01 and an 02 cab. Both are very good. Still somewhat tannic but coming around. Excellent draw and burn with cedar, cream and spice.

Partagas - smoking from an 05 cab. Love this cigar. every one is better than the last. Not a powerhouse, but keeps my interest and still very much a Partagas.

Hoyo - Had a 1/2 cab of 01s. All were tight, with inconsistent taste. some good ,some bland. Had a few 06s recently that were very nice. Made me consider buying a cab.

SLR - 04s were good, but I smoked them too young. By the time I got to the last 10, they were really starting to shine. made me wish I would've waited. my FEB07 cab I've only had 2; both were well constructed, but waaaay too young to smoke. These are going to be very good I think.

RAG - my 03 box is crap. Papery and harsh, most with tight draw. I'm hoping age will cure all, but I dont have too much hope for these.

VRDA and SCdLH not enough experience to comment. Didnt like the few I've had though...

Since you got asked, tell them to make a damn Upmann DC and to make it a cross between a Super Corona and a Sir Winnie and I dont want it to be in a book, or a RE or an EL either

Actually there is a H.Upmann Prominentes. But this one came within a special humidor. :-P

A very mixed experience.

the '05 Lusi cab is maturing nicely, but there is still the usual DC inconsistency issue

'03 HDM DC single was honey like and smooth

04 SLR DC single, draw and flavor were off (and I love SLR DC)

Now, If Cohiba could start a limited production Maduro DC, that would be smokable dessert in a box.

The major problem IMHO as others have noted is consistency.

Just my opinion..Hoyo too light, The Lusi's I have tried too bland and then the SLR stands out way way above the rest as it is the only one with the substance to be truly fantastic like the Cohiba.

The HDM DC from 06 bought from FOH I smoked yesterday wasquite wonderful.
