winelover Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 I may have the job i/v of my life next week as it would give me the chance to move from sole practionner's practice where I've been training to 300+ lawyer firm to begin work as an NQ tax/succession solicitor, here in the UK. I don't have that much private client experience although I've studied it a lot academically so I've been re-familiarising myself with different types of trusts etc. on wikipedia (suprisingly good!) and have taken some practitionners books from my work to spod up on over the weekend. Also plan to do "mind maps" thinking of all the possible questions I'd be asked and my response, together with thinking of questions I'd ask. If anyone could give any pre- i/v tips, (- i have a 3 person panel - two senior partners and hr manager) I'd be very grateful Thanks
skid11 Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 When your sitting in front of the 3 person panel - Try not to insult them !;-)
El Presidente Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Good luck Graham! It has been a long time since I have attended an interview and I wonder if I would have the patience to do so successfully.
Freefallguy Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Graham- check with Ken, he's a recovering conveyance lawyer.
