Never had one of these before. Purchased this from Rob in July of 2005 and have been letting sit. Decided to fire it up tonight while sitting on the front porch and I was very satisfied to say the least.

Brand: Romeo y Julieta

Name: Churchills

Shape: Julieta No. 2

Origin: Cuba

Size: 7 in. / 47

Date Rated: 7/7/2007

Source: Cigar Czar

Box Code: N/A

Age: ~2 Years

Appearance & Construction (1-5): 5

Gorgeous looking cigar. Smooth and oily light brown wrapper

with very few veins. Just the right amount of firmness with no

perceivable hard or soft spots. Mild earthy pre light aroma.

Smoking Characteristics (1-5): 5

Perfect draw producing tons of thick smoke and a flaky gray ash.

The burn was even throughout and did not require any lighting

touchups.

Flavor & Aroma (1-10): 9

Started out quite smooth and mild then picked up body as it

progressed. Predominant notes of bread, nuts, and leather with a

core of rich tobacco. Hints of pepper and spice drifted in out.

Incredibly consistent flavor profile.

9.3/10

Thanks for the review. While I enjoy these, for me, they are a bit drier on the finish

than I tend to like. I consider these a "nice change of pace" cigar.

i find these get better with age. i got some that have been sitting round for about 5 years, i smoke em on special occassions and they've never let me down... actually now that i think about it, there was one that had a little bit tighter draw but i dont mind having to work for such a great cigar.

Great review. The Romeo y Julieta Churchill has always been one of my favorite cigars. I usually get the tubed versions because they are easy to carry when I travel. I really haven't had a lot of problems with them being plugged, which is always a plus!

Thanks for the review. These are one of my favorites. I have some from 05 that are hidden so I forget about them for a while. :-)
