the only good thing about this thread is that NOBODY is running their mouths about Eli Manning and the loser Giants! Bad enough i gotta hear Cowboys fans spouting off, Redskins fans spouting off, at least Giants fan know to stay quiet for at least another 7 years with how they sold their franchise for a guy named "Manning". If he didnt have that last name, he wouldnt be starting in this league, and i challenge anyone to argue that case..

But 49ers? 49ers? Cmon bro! Enjoy your Super Bowls, that we dont have! Enjoy the SLOW progression of Alex Smith.. Stop putting pressure on the team with this NFC champions crap.. You are starting to sound like Lions fans all foaming at the mouth everytime they get a first round draft pick wide reciever... And we expect better out of 49ers fans. You know damn well that would be TOTALLY lucky to win that division.. And even if you did, do you really think Alex Smith is ready for the playoffs? As i type i can read your mind, that somewhere in there you agree with me, but dont want to type your agreement.. You would rather just type "NFC CHAMPS" or something crazy...

Im not even going to say the Eagles are the best team in the NFC.. Top 5 probably.. But in my opinion, in no particular order the NFC goes like this

-Saints

-Eagles

-Bears

-Cowboys

-Rams (you heard it right~ now that they have a few missing pieces on "D", watch out.. Bulger, Holt, Bruce, Stephen Jackson?? And they are playing with an easy schedule, could be the greatest show on turf again!)

I am NOT a San Fran fan,I am an OAKLAND RAIDER but all the teams you are talking about here you might aswell be talking about them.This will be one of the most thrilling football seasons in a while

there is alot of talent out there.They hardest div is the AFC there is

alot of pairity,in the NFC not so much but it will be a good year for football hope all the key players stay healthy;-)

Pass on betting on Philly. McNabb is too big a variable.

Westbrook is the stud on the team and the offense flows through him. If McNabb can make completions and keep the LBs off balance, he run well.

The Eagles don't see really good defenses until after the bye week.

But I will take you up on the Cowboys! I see their season as follows:

10 Sun, Nov 11 at NY Giants Lose

11 Sun, Nov 18 Washington Win

12 Thu, Nov 22 NY Jets Lose

13 Thu, Nov 29 Green Bay Win

14 Sun, Dec 9 at Detroit Win

15 Sun, Dec 16 Philadelphia Win

16 Sat, Dec 22 at Carolina Win

17 Sun, Dec 30 at Washington Win

This brings them to 11-5.

I think 11-5 is a fair guess for the 'Boys although you labeled it "ridiculous."

I split the NFC East games except for the Skins.

They could lose to the Rams. but they should beat the Jets in Dallas although I listed it as a loser as a buffer.

Panthers might be fighting for a wildcard in December and that's an way game. That could prove tough. But who knows what any of these teams look like in week 16.

It could be wrong, but I do not think it's ridiculous?

After week 6 the NFC East looks like this:

Cowboys 5-1

Giants 4-2

Redskins 3-2

Eagles 2-3

As a Giant's fan I can't complain. Thank goodness the D tightened up.

As a man betting the Cowboys get 11 wins, I can't complain either.

I was traveling and stuck at the gate in front of the Iggles game with an insufferable fan. Ugh.

Missed the ‘boyz while in flight. Not a bad thing in hindsight. No shame in losing to the Pats; they’re playing like a pro team in a BCS league.

The only thing I love more than my ‘boyz winning is hearing the Foreskins lost. A 57 yard TD off a Moss fumble was just icing on the cake.
