Colt45 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Great shots - they really are big! During the hatch, do you use artificials that large?
Moglman Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 That makes me itchy to fish. The stones are just starting here in CO.
Well Armed Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Did some fishing during the Salmonfly hatch on a special stretch of a special river. These bugs get big (up to 3 inches long) and the trout go crazy for them. This one decided he really liked my Oris and then he decided he liked my original PSD3 EL even more. Until it melted one of his tentacles off. The cigar was better than the fishing. And the fishing was quite good.

Big furry dry flies on size 4 hooks. And the Oris really is a great watch Rob. Many thanks go to Lisa for her diligence in procuring it for me! Chile? Man that sounds wicked. Wouldn't you rather be chasing permit though!?!? Seriously, we'll meet in the salt sometime soon. I'll show Ken how it's done.
Taino Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Speaking of fly fishing in Chile, cigars and bugs. While fishing in the place of the picture smoking cigars, every afternoon emperor moth were atracted by the smoke of my cigars. It was amazing, but the cigar was somehow very appealing to them... and they were not really peaky on any special brand.
