Ramon Allones Specially Selected

Origin: Cuba

Manufactured: Hand Made

Length: 4 7/8

Ring: 50

This is my first post in the group. Been lurking a while. Really enjoy the posts and topics. Quite a change from the constant off topic drone of Alt.Smokers.Cigars. Used to be a lively group. Now it is just boring.

I digress.

Smoked a few RASS' that I picked up a while back. Box code POS APR 06. Intresting that these are now being made in the same factory where many Bolivars are produced.

These cigars are a med-brown color with a great cocca pre-light smell. They tend to have a tight draw, but open up nicely after a few puffs.

This is one of the best Habanos I have smoked from current production. Great spice and Habanos flavors. Strong, but not so much so that the complex flavors are blown out.

I highly recommend this Robusto.

I have never had a RASS that has made me want to go out and buy a box to sit on. Nice to see that you like them though. Everyone's Palate is different and that's why they make so many different Cigars. ;-)

Definitely. Impossible to find with age, but then again to my tastes (not the general consensus, btw) they don't really need it. The MAY 06 Cab that I've been picking at has been so good I want to eat them.:-D

No **** sandwich, I like my fresh one too. I did find some with age and was really anticipating smoking one. Truthfully I was a little let down as the new ones suited me just as well.
