Popular Post Jamie117 Posted October 11, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 11, 2023 Just discovered this thread and thought I would share my (comparatively meager) collection. A Bulova Curv Titanium - my first watch, I bought it for my 21st birthday A Bulova Precisionist Gunmetal - diamond on each hour A Bulova Marine Star - this one with the red second hand is a special edition featuring a black and red silicone strap with a whale motif, but I have swapped to the traditional gold bracelet. A Seiko Prospex diver's - love the shade of green and the glow the hands and hours have And a Tissot Visodate - love the thin, minimalist look and a great shade of blue 7

Popular Post El Presidente Posted October 18, 2023 Author Popular Post Posted October 18, 2023 Not generally a TAG fan but I like the look of this one. TAG Heuer has been celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Carrera all year, with this gold chronograph serving as the finale. The 39 mm 18K 3N yellow gold case has a glass box domed sapphire crystal that precisely follows the curve of the flange for maximal legibility. Its black sub-dials and black central seconds contrast well with the 18K 3N yellow gold-plated vertical-brushed dial while matching the perforated black calfskin bracelet. Visible through the sapphire caseback is a Heuer 02 automatic chronograph movement powering the hands, three sub-dials, and a date window at 6 o'clock. 6
Seacliff Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 In addition to German watches, vintage style watches are in my collection. This is a Seagull 1963 reissue and was originally created at that time for Chinese military pilots. There are lots of Seagull 1963 "knock-offs" but this one was made under the same spec and comes from the same factory as the original. 3

I love this watch to bits, although it annoys me that the factory (as far as I know) doesn’t do display backs and that the display back is usually a sign of a knockoff. If anyone is wondering why it annoys me, look how stunning the movement is: 1 1

It appears Seagull knows they are being made and may even have a license agreement. Yes, the are stunning. This is one of my fav watch guys and he has a few great videos on the subject My Caseback: 1

Rhinoww Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Was just looking at some Ball engineer Divers Watches. Swiss movement but American brand founded around railroad safety. Some of the options have an internal bezel. Curious if anyone has experience with the Brand - it’s new to me. I have an Omega speedmaster chronograph, Omega Constellation Day/Date that was my father’s, and an offset Bulova spaceview that keeps on humming among others. I’m not a Rolex/Brietling guy. Looking for a durable waterproof watch for summer/beach, and Ball line was intriguing. So, anyone have one? https://www.ballwatch.com/global/en/collections/engineer-master-ii---6/diver---dm3020a-saj-bk---1847.html

They have complications and features that are actually useful. Legibility between gas emitting tubes and dial needs no explanation. Not popular in the US FWIW. I like Ball watches. I'd put them into the super functional but stylish group like Rado. Both take ruggedness and function different directions.

Popular Post Pmo13 Posted January 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 22, 2024 I’ve always been a sucker for retro/reissue watches, and specifically Bulova. My two most worn watches at the moment though, are probably my Devil Diver if I’m being more casual or will be near water, or my Lunar Pilot if I’m at work and/or being slightly more formal. 5
