Nope. Modern synthetic movement lubricants don't gum up like the old mineral oils. But they can migrate from their pivot points in due time due to a movement sitting for a long time.

This is interesting - didn't have a free winder for the Perrelet that I bought last October.  Just last week, when I wind it up, the second hand doesn't start kicking until it's been on my wrist for a few minutes.  It's stored upright on a pad but still...

Very nice. That is the newest version with the 3285 70 hour movement based on the Jubilee band though I have to wonder if you have not placed a Jubilee band on an older GMT II based on how the colors appear in that photo. I have a 2020 Batman.

It is the 3285 movement. The watch was in the direct sun this morning so it looked a little brighter than usual.

FINALLY, after waiting for the first shipment of PRX’s to the Dutch Tissot dealers, it’s here. It punches way above it’s weight, fit & finish is insane for this price point.

Nothing extravagant but it's my great grandfather John Washington's watch.(Yes he was somehow kin to George Washington). He carried it, my grandfather carried it, my dad carried it and I keep it locked up in a safe. 21 jewel Elgin.

I’ve got my heart set on a GMT Pepsi. I really just like the bezel. Nothing special about the watch other than that.

I do too! I prefer the oyster bracelet over the jubilee. Good luck on your search. They are hard to find (at MSRP especially).

Any Rolex is now virtually impossible to get at msrp unless you are VIP and spend in excess of 6 figures at your local AD. A stainless Daytona $13,400, is now being listed by grey and resellers for over 30K USD. Absolutely crazy! My 116618LB Submariner now lists for close to 40K, and the watch is now discontinued and msrp was 34,250 !!

The local dealer in Biel, CH (where Rolex is made) will only sell the fancier models to locals that won't flip the watch.  Rolex gets pissed if they see new serial numbers floating around the grey market and may limit how many of the hot watches that dealer will get if they are selling to flippers.

I agree, the grey market is ridiculous. I’m ready and willing to wait to pay MSRP. I don’t need a watch this bad. But, suckers are born everyday.

Many Rolex AD's are selling new models out the back door to resellers. This is why the average Joe who walks in the front door sees nothing but completely empty display cases with nothing to try on and nothing to buy. The optics are horrible. But look on Chrono24 and other online retail sites and there are thousands of new Rolex for sale at ridiculous inflated secondary market prices.

My first Trafford Roadster came in yesterday.  Really looks nice.  Packaging is great and comes with the story behind the watch.  The green version will be delayed since the face color delivered to Trafford was too dark and wasn't British racing green.

Earlier this year I traded an all black Submariner for this 21 model submariner which is, I think, 41mm as opposed to 40mm from the previous generation. So far I've owned TAG and Rolex models and would love to own a Patek Philippe someday. Although that day may never come, lol.

Then leave it in a Tupperware with dessicant with the crown pulled out for a week or so and sell it on/trade it in and get into something else.
