El Presidente Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 One of my other loves is Swiss watches. I happen to wear and retail ORIS watches www.friendsoforis.com but that is beside the point. As discering cigar chomping cablleros.....what is on your wrist?
dragon Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I like cool watches too! I used to wear a Rolex Explorer II, but it was too heavy and bulky (like handcuffs) and I didn't like that selfwinding feature because the watch would stop running if you don't either wear it or shake it every couple of days. It also wasn't very accurate. I recently got a two-tone Breitling Aerospace and I really like it.
Ben Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 A TAG Heuer 2000 Series is my everyday watch. I've also got a TAG Heuer Link Chronograph & a Heuer Monaco for dressing up.
El Presidente Posted August 24, 2005 Author Posted August 24, 2005 Dragon So the Rolex made you limp wristed? ;-)

One of my many weaknesses are good timepieces. On my last holiday, ended up in Barbados where there were some good selections available. I bought myself a nice Longines watch, only to find out my (champion) uncle who had left for home in Vancouver had bought me a Tissot touch screen watch! Suffice to say if if I was on Rob or Ken's earning bracket I might be tempted to buy something else (Piaget was another nice option) but pretty happy with the ones I've got.
El Presidente Posted August 24, 2005 Author Posted August 24, 2005 Ken will never change his Mousketeer momento timepiece
rumrogue Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Oris Jazz John McLaughlin LE. What else. Love it.
Mel Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Cheap piece of crap Timex Expedition. With all the money I have spent on cigars that's the best I could do.;-) If I had a nice watch I'd lose the thing. 1
Colt45 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Citizen eco-drive 180. Powered by light, no batteries, no winding, no shaking. No muss, no fuss. Water resistant to 200 meters, and will run 180 days on a full charge. I've had it for years, and never had a problem. 2
Ken Gargett Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 » Ken will never change his Mousketeer momento timepiece best watch i ever had, bar the 'no, it really is real' rolex from bangkok - $5 and it kept absolutely perfcet time for 6 years. shove that up your oris!
El Presidente Posted August 25, 2005 Author Posted August 25, 2005 Ken The Fake Rolex is why you were always half an hour late :-D 1
Ken Gargett Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 which still means i'm usually waiting for you! at least i have an excuse.
Colt45 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 » I happen to wear and retail ORIS » watches www.friendsoforis.com but that is beside the point. From the FOH Rules Page: “Shilling” i.e. shameless promotion is a one way ticket to oblivion. Do as I say, not as I do???!!!
rd123456789 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I have an Oris... you just started selling them when I bought and didn't have the one I wanted. I also have a bunch of cheap others. BTW, my Oris doesn't keep the best time... loses more than a QPR watch should.
dragon Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I also had a Sea Dweller a long time ago, very cool watch. I remember it had this little helium escape valve on the side of the case, and was really thick and bulky. The jeweler told me this model didn't come with a magnifier over the date because it was made to go so deep under water that it would compromise the integrity of the crystal.
dysfunctional Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Love watches also... Currently daily wear is a IWC Chrono...sometimes a Rolex Air King. For special days a Vacheron Constantin Malte Regulator Dual Time.... 2
stevejb Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I rotate between 3: Panerai marina stainless steel, Breitling bentley, Audamers Piaget royal oak offshore black rubber.
Ben Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Erm...... Interesting way of displaying the date...
rumrogue Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 » Erm...... Interesting way of displaying the date... Yeah......I ain't to keen on sheep-like habits either. Maybe that's why I don't use Bill Gate's sorry products. ;-)
n2advnture Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Got this one in June for our 10yr wedding ann. I LOVE it btw. [link=http://www.tagheuer.com/watches/detail.lbl?watch=WJ1110.BA0570&search=t:1;F:27;T:1;C:t;]Click Here ---> Tag Heuer[/link] .
