I thought it would be interesting to bring in 2007 with a cigar that was old as well as new to me. This brand has been un-experienced by myself, so I really had no idea what to expect other than aged tobacco. This cigar provided that and a whole lot more.

The construction was excellent in the Hand made long filler Cervantes. While it is named a Churchill, it is rather short and smaller than a regular Churchill, perhaps a little exaggeration may have been used, whatever, this was a very tasty cigar. As this was at least 10+ years old, the flavor herbal, sort of green tea like, not really grassy, but herbal none the less. It was medium bodied where the earthiness was well balanced with a slight cedar wood flavor. It provided a toasted tobacco essence that was quite unique. At times it was straight in your face powerful tobacco, and then changed to the woody essence with a herbal background. The Quintero Churchill was a very interesting cigar to enjoy.

I would personally rate this cigar a 4 smoke ring cigar as it was a very good cigar, yet did not quite bring enough earthiness or spice or toasted essence for my palate to rate it higher, maybe in another ten years it would develop into an exceptional cigar for a 5 smoke ring rating.
