Partagas Serie D No 1 Limited Edition 2004

Recommended Posts

Greetings All,

Nice job on getting this forum going Rob!

I am wondering if anyone has tried the Partagas Serie D No 1 Limited Edition 2004. I'm thinking about jumping on a box, but I'm running low on Cohiba Robustos... My favorite. My budget will allow for one of these boxes right now.

Thanks!

I picked up a box in November and have had half a dozen to date.

Full bodied powerhouse and the best of the 2004 LE's tasted. It has rich tobacco flavour with some other flavours trying to get out. It just hasn't had time to evolve yet.

My opinion is that it will develop into one of the best of all.

These were featured at Rob's October cigar dinner. They were the hit of the night and had some fair competition withthe Trinidad Reyes and Montecristo Edmundo.

What a night! My other half still has me under house curfew :lol2:

Personally I would always go for the SD1 over a CoRo,

But that is me.

If the CRo is your favorite cigar - yu should know that they are very different ends of the spectrum.

The Coro being Mild/Medium

the SD1 full bodied/very rich

makes it hard to say:-)

Hi from South Africa.

Great move on this Forum, hope it goes very well.

I have had a couple of the D1's so far. Great, rich, balanced. One of the best in the past 3 years I think. I am featuring the D1 tonight at a club dinner.

Some of us are off to Havana for the festival. With a group of Aussies and South Africans, one has to ask....is there enough rum on the island?

Nice way to damage the beautiful cigars inside!!!!!!! LMAO:-D

Seriously, the CoRo and the SD1 are so different from each other that you may need to ask yourself, MMMMM If I buy them, can I keep them around to enjoy for awhile? The CoRo is a mainstay and will always be available, but alas, the very nature of the PSD1 is shown in its name, Edicion Limitada, available today, but not for ever.

Jeremy I had purshased a Box of the PSD#1 EL , I smoked a few shortly after arrivial, and they were great, Very much a Powerhouse Cigar, definately a true Partagas full of rich flavor, Spiciness, that you would expect, i smoked one a few days ago and had found it a little flat, I am Thinking it has gone dormate for a while....So I am going to let them rest for a while.. It is definately a must have cigar though....D

Cigar Dinner, Cape Town. 40 People. Cigar 2 was the Seried D1 Limited Ed. Overall review: Great, top of the range. But some prefer the D2. Personally, this is the best balanced cigar I have had for a long time, a valued addition to the Humidor.

Hello from E. TN

What a sexy box of cigars. They are some of the prettiest sticks in a box. It really hurt me to dig one out. They are big and bold and have become one of my go to smokes when something special is reqiured. I agree with some of the others that the Cr are always available so go for the Part. LE. Enjoy dude.

Mel.
