El Presidente Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Great review Chuck! They are producing some excellent cigars currently. Kudos fella's.
cvm4 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 » Well Chuck, I must say you killed it with your review...spot on. » » I just smoked one. Unlike yours, mine started off a bit harsh and sharp. » An inch in and it was like I was smoking a young RASS. Very good, but you » could tell she was still maturing. As I smoked it - it turned from a young » rebel to a refined citrus/baked artisian bread flavor. 898 characteristics » and then on to the Gigantes. Sweet fruity bread. » Burned my fingers. I thoroughly enjoyed the Eminencia and can tell that » with a bit of age these will be stellar. So glad I have 24 left. Austin - I recently tried one of these simply because I couldn't hold off any longer. :-D Overall it was a little harsh and muted for me. I think dryboxing it a little longer COULD have helped a little bit. I'll have to revisit them in 6 months or so.
mrjinglesusa Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 » » Great review, Chuck. » » I'm going to give mine a bit longer before smoking another. Not quite » there for me yet. I agree. If they are good now, think how they will be in another 4-5 years. Oh mama...
ehdg Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 » A nice review. I've smoked about 5 so far & all have been excellent. I'm » very impressed at how flavorful they are for such a new cigar. Glad I » stock up on these. IMHO, superior to the Punch Robusto. Tottally agree about them being far superior to the PR. I also feel they remind me a lot of the 898 that's sadly been discontinued.
jkhano Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Great review. I alrady smoked a dozen. Wanted to keep some for next year but am tempted to smoke the whole box!

These were very wet upon original release (Much like PL Lons) and had lots of draw issues. I have had a few over the last 2 weeks and they have really come around.
cvm4 Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I haven't touched them since I wrote that. I guess that's good, more age! I'll have to pull out a single and give it a whirl.
wp2 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Great review Chuck!! I have 2 of these babies left & will smoke on a special event day.
jadawin Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Dont have the cash for a box, but ive got a single on the way that im lookin forward to!
