mr.harten Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 '05 Trinidad Reyes, Cohiba Siglo I, and SCdLH El Principes have all been smoking really well for me with little to no age.
argon345 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Welcome!! I would agree that Party shorts have always been good...but I've also found ERDM Choix Supreme to be quite tasty young.....
josie67 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 MC #2 MC #4 Both have always been good to me young. As a matter of fact, I am more than half way through a box of #2's from 6/05, and all of them have been fantastic.
tey Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I love a young Rass, quai d'orsay corona claro, party shorts, and jl selection no 1.
harwellplant Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 i can't dispute what has been said, but i would add several vitolas from within the san cristobal, diplomatico and sancho panze marques. most will either love or hate a young rass - not much in between. i can tell you that a cigar i do NOT care for young is the ryj cazadore.
Smokin Bulldog Posted March 10, 2006 Author Posted March 10, 2006 Guys, thanks for all the suggestions. Some of these I have already odered from FOH, and am working through the list now. The RASSs I have from 05 are great, to me, and the Mag 46 was incredible. I have really enjoyed all the Habanos I have smoked so far. Thanks again.
kingfisher59 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Trini Reyes PLPC's HDM Petite Robusto's Mag 46's And I must agree there is something to be said about a lot of the smaller ring's they seem to smoke OK while young...
waldo Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 The RASCC is probably my favorite when it comes to smoking young. Having said that, it varies box to box. Sometimes you will get a box that can be a bit tannic when fresh.
Black Plague Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 To my taste buds, I prefer Sancho Non Plusses young. Well...maybe not really young, but I find I enjoy them more with only a year or two of age, rather than four, five, or up. They have a wonderful woody, grassy, earthy, and salty (a taste I've found nowhere else) that for me evokes images in my mind of the outdoors. They're good when very aged, but just don't do it for me like a younger one does.

Duckguy Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I'm fairly new to this game but I thought the RyJ Petite Pyramides EL smoked very well for a young cigar. I appreciate this thread as I don't have enough stock to reach for old smokes ... yet! Josh

They're so dang expensive, but I'm sooooooo tempted to buy a box after the few I've sampled. If they're this good young who knows how great they'll be in just a few years.
billyburg Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I think any Diplomatico is very aproachable yong as well as most ERDMs

The HdM pr's are great young. Well, let em rest for 3-4 weeks, then smoke at will!
tey Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I'm gonna add the PSD4. Currently my 05's have been performing splendidly.
