When did you started smoking cigars

About 3 years ago.

What draws you to them

I've always liked complex flavors, be it food or alcohol. This seemed a natural fit.

What do you do

I'm a waterfowl biologist - I study ducks.

Hobbies

Duck hunting primarily, but mechanics, some wood working, computers, so forth.

Favourite cigar

I can't pick just one, but for Cubans it's hard to beat the Mag 46. Noncubans, the Ashton VSGs are wonderful, esp. the Illusion.

Least Favourite

Ugh...lots of bad ones. I guess anything mass marketed like White Owls or Swishers. From handmades I've had many poor ones.

What do you do

Work for a commercial electrical company (11 years) that does large scale commercial construction & renovation (ex: pentagon before and after 9/11)

Hobbies

Married for 11 years this year (seems like a hobby). Up until last fall, road racing motorcycles (about 6-7 years) and until last year golf.

After selling off all the race motorcycles and equipment, I started Cigarmony.com (Cigar Accessories, Apparel & Killer Beans). It has consumed all of my spare time for the past 6 months.

I recently submitted a patent for an invention and it should be completed here in the next week or so, so that added with the normal Cigarmony.com stuff has been hectic as well. Who knew how difficult it was to get a product to fruition, even as simple as the one I had made.

Way too many...Cohiba DC EL, LCG Med #1 & 2, Epi #2, Esplend, ERDM Lonsdale, PSD4, just about anything RA, Part., Hdm....who am I kidding, I like them all! LOL!

» I started smoking cigars about 10 yrs ago during a dinner after a golf match.

I like the fact that you can't rush smoking a cigar. The relaxing pace it forces upon the smoker.

I have smoked cigars for about 13 years. They became a passion for me only about 4 years ago.

For me, the most important aspect of a cigar is how it tastes to me. Poor construction, burn problems etc. are an annoyance that can be tolerated if the taste is there. I also enjoy smoking cigars as a form of relaxation and contemplation when I smoke alone. When I smoke with others I enjoy the friendship and camaradarie offered by the shared enjoyment of cigar smoking

This is hard to say. Confining my answer to handmade Cuban cigars, I have had very poor luck with the Punch marca, in terms of construction, and I have never smoked a Punch cigar that absolutely amazed me.

Hello gang.. a bit new here but many of you many know me from other places.

When did you started smoking cigars - 18-20 years back... into Havana's since 1992

What draws you to them - I enjoy the flavor and complexity of a great cigar, but the simple fact that it gives one time to reflect on life is the beauty of the cigar to me.

What do you do - I own a consulting firm focused on strategy and operational improvement, as well as being a partner in a private equity LBO fund

Hobbies - Sport fishing, travel(for pleasure), bourbon, wine, cooking, reading

Favourite cigar - I have many but lean towards the ERdM Tainos & CS, Partagas SDC line and LGC's

Least Favourite - I really don't dislike many Havana's other than those that are constructed poorly.

About 3 years ago, got a fake Monte 2 on my honeymoon. Once I got home I spent some time discovering that it was fake and went about trying to ensure I didn't do that again.

I enjoy the whole experience. I typically smoke alone and find that it's incredibly relaxing. I can forget about everything and just focus on enjoying the experience.
