Roy R. Frush Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Hi, I was kindly directed here by FOH member "Ginseng". I have recently resumed smoking cigars after an approximately six year hiatus. I can already sense the slippery slope that I am on, as I find myself spending increasingly more time reading cigar forums, and contemplating what I intend to purchase next! I feel fortunate to have been shown the way to this board; it appears to have a wealth of information and a very friendly atmosphere. I look forward to reading and learning lots, and hopefully slipping a few posts in here and there. Apparently there is some sort of incentive to do so...;-)
billyburg Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Welcome! Glad to see your back enjoying the leaf again. Yes Rob is very generous to FOH participants!
gehrig24 Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 You were lead down a great path to FOH Greetings
The Privateer Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Welcome....looks like you're already off to a rolling start!
Roy R. Frush Posted February 10, 2006 Author Posted February 10, 2006 » Welcome ! What part of NY are you from ? UES of Manhattan. I see you guys have something set up for the weekend of the 18th. If I am in town that weekend, I'd like to join you folks.
Freefallguy Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Roy, why don't you share with the class what they're calling for in NYC with this weekend's weather forecast.
Ginseng Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Hi Elliot, I'm glad that you accepted my invitation to join the FOH forum. IMO, this is one of the finest places on the web for sharing and enjoying cigar comradeship. The fact that it's associated with perhaps the best cigar vendor on the web is a definite plus. (Rob, please feel free to tally my brownie points;-) ) Welcome, welcome and welcome my brother. Oh, by the way, don't worry too much about that fellow Ken Gargett. He's really harmless...and once the Rob and associates purchase him some companionship during the upcoming Havana trip, I'm sure he'll be downright jolly. :-D Wilkey

Don't want to know what "IT" is but I am sure we'll have many laughs about it once the stories leak out. Now why don't you share with us some of the details about what you smoke, what you enjoy doing when you enjoy a fine cigar now that the slippery slope has you sliding down the path in our direction.
Jimmy2 Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Your welcome to come next week if you like let me know ....
Roy R. Frush Posted February 11, 2006 Author Posted February 11, 2006 » Roy, why don't you share with the class what they're calling for in NYC » with this weekend's weather forecast. Are you referring to that 'lil storm that could drop anywhere from 6"-6' of snow on us?

When I was smoking cigars regularly, I smoked primarily NC's, with the occasional habano. I have a friend that owns several cigar shops, and as a result had good access to a wide variety of smokes. My renewed interest has been fueled by the knowledge that with the right connections(ahem, FoH), something that used to require overseas travel could be accomplished from my home. I am particularly fond of the Julieta 2 vitola, and look forward to future purchases. I enjoy smoking cigars most when sitting in a comfortable chair in an indoor lounge. I find I can best appreciate all the cigar has to offer when in a controlled and relaxing environment, with few distractions.
Roy R. Frush Posted February 11, 2006 Author Posted February 11, 2006 » Your welcome to come next week if you like let me know .... I very much appreciate it. I have tentative travel plans at the moment. Once I know if I'll be in town that weekend, I will definitely inform you.
