Spoiler - it's not bread. This should be the next logical 'snack wars' challenge for @Chas.Alpha It has to be accompanied with some cockles though...and eaten for breakfast. 2

Just call it chicken and bean chowder and don't bring it to a chili cookoff! Sorry, personal remembrance kicked in there. I judged a chili cookoff several years ago and somebody brought it. I refused to taste it for the contest on principle. Lots of arguing that day including my wife trying to convince me to let it go. As you can see, I haven't. Chili ain't white and does not contain beans. 1
BigGuns Posted Thursday at 05:50 PM Posted Thursday at 05:50 PM I’m kinda disappointed with a lot of answers here. I suppose it’s only fitting then that my contribution to this thread is Pho and Ramen. Not that I don’t like them, I just “don’t get” them. 2 1 1

That's a new Orleans dish. It's not my favorite but I don't mind it. I'm talking, grits. Boring as hell!

sageman Posted yesterday at 05:16 AM Posted yesterday at 05:16 AM I do get this dish, but many outsiders do not. In Cincinnati we are famous for our 3 ways! we do chili spaghetti. The chili is more like a sauce over noodles topped with finely shredded cheese and optional beans and or onions (to make it a 4 or 5 way). It’s a must try if you’re in town. 1
potpest Posted yesterday at 06:22 AM Posted yesterday at 06:22 AM People in the UK seem to love tasteless bland beige food. One of such loves is a "Sausage Roll". I always hated sausage rolls until I tried making some with decent Sausage meat and real butter puff pastry. Turns out I don't hate Sausage Rolls, I just hate the processed cheap version. Apart from that I struggle to think of anything else, usually if I don't like something it's because it's poor execution or poor quality ingredients. 1
BrightonCorgi Posted yesterday at 11:40 AM Posted yesterday at 11:40 AM I don't get the allure of duck tongue and chicken feet. They are pass when I see them on the menu. 1

Yep 🤔 Now I have eaten all kinds of shit. Especially from the ocean and in most circumstances raw. I really don't believe that anyone can find anything palatable in regard to chicken feet. Texture taste and the actual anatomy of the product. Simple fact it has been standing in shit its entire life. Anyway each to their own. 😎🌴 1 1
Fuzz Posted yesterday at 12:40 PM Posted yesterday at 12:40 PM Time to be controversial..... Sushi. I just don't find the appeal of it. Yeah, I have eaten it many times, but mostly out of politeness if I'm in a group. Never order it myself. 1 1 2
Li Bai Posted yesterday at 01:01 PM Posted yesterday at 01:01 PM Ramen. Almost 30 years ago I went to a Japanese restaurant in rue Sainte Anne in Paris (at that time Japanese food and sushis were pretty confidential in France and the only traditional Japanese restaurants were in that street), what a disappointment, it tasted nothing like I assumed it would taste. And basically any Indian food but only because I can't stand coriander. 1

joeypots Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago White pizza isn’t pizza I can’t stand eggplant. I’m not man enough to even consider tasting sweat breads. I’m not a big fan of any egg dish where the yolk is soft. 2
