Haven’t done a review in a while. Tossed in Boli Tubos 1 Tube when headed to the golf course. Too wet to play, course closed. Ok, time to work on the short game and putting. Cut cap with fingernail, and fire up the ERDM. Torch, held it back about 3 inches and toasted until I could get a draw and then smoked it. No rituals, just smoking a PC. Oh wow—take a second look at the cigar. Really nice. All the flavors you expect from a well aged ERDM…Espresso, cedar, and a light sweet fruity ginger snap middle part which is so interesting. All in a nice clean tobacco backbone. Twang, salt. Pretty amazing amount of strength in these, 8/10 strength, massive finesse. Wonderful. Haven’t burned a cigar to fingers in a bit, but this did it. Flawless construction and burn. Solid 90 point cigar. 

Small recommendation for those of you who love Robustos—you really should smoke PCs more often. I get the same smoking time out of a lot of PCs, and I think…sometimes, most of the time, more flavor. Kind of a more intense version of aged Choix Supreme. Yeah yeah, these ERDM are kind of hard to find, but others aren’t, and they’re cheap(er). Why oh why did they disco these and the Upmann PC? PCs don’t really fit the bill of “luxury cigar” I guess. Definitely not as much cool factor here though-if you care about that sort of thing—I don’t. Here’s to hoping they at least keep what’s still available.  Cheers all.  Z

I used to smoke lots of ERDM PCs. Fantastic cigars. One vendor had loads of them and all of a sudden, poof, they were gone. This cigar always makes my list of discontinued cigars I miss.

You know it sure does…ERDM could use a renaissance like QDO has had.
