The initial draws are tad tight. There is the tell tale Nicaragua pepper note. Then there is light wood. Not much else so far. As it progresses there is a roasted nut note.

The start has been disappointing. Fortunately it seems to be picking up steam. Kind of a charred pie crust flavor is mingling with nuts and pepper. I must remark that this is light in body. I have been smoking a lot of My Father so there's that. Thankfully it has taken on a chocolate flavor now as well.

Final 3rd
Moving into medium bodied. Richer notes of chocolate, nuts and burned pie crust, wood and slight leather. Overall this cigar has been underwhelming. The flavors seem muted.

I would rate this as: Disappointing

While not a bad experience. It was not great either. This is the first JC Newman I have ever tried. Could be my last.
