Popular Post Jerryvonkramer Posted April 4 Popular Post Posted April 4 Missing a couple but for me this is the best brand. Has everything. 16 1
Popular Post Ford2112 Posted April 4 Popular Post Posted April 4 I'm certainly a fan. Best is obviously subjective. For myself Partagas is probably the one with the most favorites. Lusitania, E2, Shorts, D4, P2, 898, Salomones are all heavy hitters, and plenty of value in Aristocrats, Mille Fleurs, Habaneros and Super Partagas. I gotta throw Monte in the mix as there is quality all over the marque. But again to each their own. I would smoke a lot more Cohibas and Trinidads if I could afford them. 12
Popular Post Mike Mecklenburg Posted April 4 Popular Post Posted April 4 When I consider the overall strength, construction, burn, price and flavors, I consider the regular stock of H.Upmann my number one go-to. 5
Ruggerpgh99 Posted April 4 Posted April 4 I am probably too inexperienced to have a valid opinion on the best brand, but I recently had a young HUHC that was spectacular. I did not want it to end. I have loved the RA that I have had, but the portfolio is not as robust. To me, having a variety/options when choosing a smoke is more important so my humidor will always be as many different things as I can get my hands on. 2
Namisgr11 Posted April 4 Posted April 4 It's impressive to see so many variations on wrapper shade, especially coming from a single brand. 2
Jerryvonkramer Posted April 4 Author Posted April 4 The Half Corona I got out fell down the side so unfortunately missed the shot. Half Corona is such a great little smoke, never misses. Also one of my absolute faves Connie A is missing. 3
JD_Stogies Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Truth. Magnum 50 is my favorite of the marca so far. I had a pretty mediocre Regalias though -- similar tier as the Party Mille Fleurs, both of which I would probably put down in favor of a higher-end NC (maybe an Illusione Epernay, Davidoff Signature, etc). They actually had like, the Cuban counterpart to the dirty ashtray taste in a lot of NCs -- maybe best described as JLP-esque? Idk how to describe it. How are the Coronas Major and Majestic for you? 2
Ford2112 Posted April 4 Posted April 4 The Connie 1 is a great smoke as is the Half Corona. Sir Winnie was my cigar of the year. Huge fan of these. 3
Lucas Buck Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Definitely in my top 5! Favorites of the marca include Sir Winston, Mag 46, Conny 2, HC & the fabulous No. 2. 2
BrightonCorgi Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Punch vs Upmann is a tough one. Depends what hour you ask me which is better. 3 1

TheDonTX Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I love 'em but not always in the mood for the gingerbread-ish profile. I don't buy them as I have Sir Winnies but I feel like if I am craving that flavor HUHC captures the line up pretty well. Recently got the PC sampler and excited to try the 21 Majestic. Might scoop up a box. Lately reaching often for anything Party and PLPC’s. 1

Corona Majors and Majestic fill a role for me where I don’t want to touch any of the “good stock” but fancy a smoke. Both are basically the standard Upmann “shortbread” profile but don’t expect complexity obviously. The Corona Major is probably a notch up on the Majestic but both are very pleasant afternoon sticks. Partagas Aristocrats are probably my fave stick in this sort of ballpark they are a bit more honey-ish than most Party. 2

Rugged sticks that give a blast of DNA, at a good price. 1
Connoisseur Kim Posted Sunday at 04:42 AM Posted Sunday at 04:42 AM Much agreed! I also love Upmann cigars after I puffed on Connie A a long time ago. It was tasty, subtle, and complex that I wished I could puff on it infinitely. Aside from Connie A, I really like HUHC and Magnum 46 too, and I consider them one of the greatest CCs I've ever had. I hope that I'd be able to try Sir Winston in someday. 2

I've only ever had one Sir Winnie (and have 2 in storage), but it is easily the best cigar I've ever had. On the Mag 46, I find that one the "black sheep" of the Upmann lineup because it's just punchier, especially when young. 2

I also found that Mag 46 is a punchier black sheep of the Upmann cigars, and it requires some ageing to mellow it out. I think Connie A is one of the signature H. Upmann cigars since it packs smooth and tasty Upmann flavour. Never had Sir Winston, but it seems to be promising as a big fan of long CCs and Upmann cigars. 5
