LaoFan Posted Friday at 10:26 PM Posted Friday at 10:26 PM Play this game with a group of friends as we travel. We take a picture of the city we're in and everybody guesses. Rules are: if you've lived in the country, you can't answer. 4
mikejh Posted Friday at 10:32 PM Posted Friday at 10:32 PM Best guess would be Crumstown, Indiana, USA 1
Popular Post TacoSauce Posted Friday at 10:56 PM Popular Post Posted Friday at 10:56 PM Notable features: A Bay -- suggesting a coastal city Several palm trees -- suggesting a tropical latitude Smaller non-SUV cars with wide license plates -- suggesting not the USA Green and maintained grass -- suggesting a location that gets a reasonable amount of rain An impressive bridge span -- suggesting a newer city in a country with both the $$ and brains to build (e.g. not the USA) That's as far as I get. 5
JohnS Posted Friday at 11:54 PM Posted Friday at 11:54 PM That photo looks very similar to the last scene of the 2009 Clint Eastwood film, "Gran Torino". In the film, Clint's character, Walt Kowalski leaves his cherished Gran Torino to his neighbour, Thao and we see him driving the car along Jefferson Ave in Detroit, Michigan. 1 1

Not many palm trees in Detroit 😁 3

benfica_77 Posted Saturday at 12:27 AM Posted Saturday at 12:27 AM This reminds me of those guys playing geoguesser on YouTube which I love watching. I'm gonna say Seattle? It would be warm enough for a palm tree. 1
tbelle7 Posted Saturday at 12:28 AM Posted Saturday at 12:28 AM That appears to be the Coronado Bridge in....San Diego. Great idea for a thread though. 3 1

Knew it right away! I think I could guess pics from anywhere along SD’s coastline. I can't believe out of all cities and pics its this one. How cool. Born and raised ❤️ 2 1

Habanoschris Posted Saturday at 07:01 PM Posted Saturday at 07:01 PM Funny, but one of my best memories about San Diego was a great little burrito joint - this was in like 1999 though lol. 1

Habanoschris Posted Saturday at 10:57 PM Posted Saturday at 10:57 PM I had no idea it was San Diego. Guessing is the name of the game. 🤣

I appreciate that unless you have actually been here, this would be close to impossible to nail down. Good luck with these drone shots. 1 1
