sudoslash Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Hello all! I've just received this box of Partagas Lusitanias. Being rather new to Cuban cigars, I wanted to get this community's thoughts on the legitimacy of this box:
nKostyan Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Hello! You need to study the control points by which you can determine the authenticity of Cuban cigars. The main one is the warranty seal, which you didn't take a HQ photo of. 2
sudoslash Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 Thanks @nKostyan for the pointers! Still learning the ropes - I've added some additional photos below. After searching around some other posts to see what to look for: the microprinted number on the bottom right of the warranty seal matches the number under the bar code. I also see the last 5 digits "10591" on the tobacco leaves on the right crest. Anything else I should be looking for? The cigars themselves feel well constructed and smell what I imagine heaven smells like.
Isaac D Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I recently purchased the same box from the same vendor and would also like to get some input. My box looks exactly like this one.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1

nKostyan Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Additionally, you can heat the warranty seal with a hair dryer and carefully peel it off. There should be a factory seal under the Habanos seal. 4
sudoslash Posted Sunday at 08:53 PM Author Posted Sunday at 08:53 PM Thanks @nKostyan, I got my UV light today and the Lusis have a very very weak stamp. Here is a photo: My other boxes all were glowing. For example, a box from FoH looked like this under the same lighting conditions: Have you ever seen this before? I may have to break out the hair dryer next...
