JohnS Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Davidoff Escurio 10th Anniversary Limited Edition Shipping Next Month March 20, 2025 - Charlie Minato In 2015, Davidoff introduced Escurio, a Brazilian-focused blend for its eponymous cigar brand. Next month, it will celebrate 10 years of Escurio with a limited edition cigar. The Davidoff Escurio 10th Anniversary Limited Edition is a 6 x 56 toro extra that uses a four-year-old Ecuadorian wrapper over a nine-year-old Brazilian binder and a filler made up of one Brazilian leaf and four different leaves from the Dominican Republic. On paper, this is similar to the regular production Escurio line though not identical. Notably, one of the Dominican fillers was aged in bourbon barrels. Each cigar has an MSRP of $37 and the American market will receive 3,750 boxes of 12. The cigar is expected to be available on April 10. “Our large and diverse inventory facilitated the creation of this special cigar,” said Edward Simon, chief marketing officer at Oettinger Davidoff, in a press release. “By adding our well-aged Brazilian tobaccos, we not only distinguish ourselves in terms of stock, but in terms of a unique taste experience where the spicy Brazilian tobaccos dynamically mingle with the creamy Dominican tobaccos. For extra depth, we have fermented one of the Dominican fillers in a bourbon cask, which gives the cigar a beautiful sweetness.” Escurio was the second release in Davidoff’s Black Band Collection, which consists of Davidoff Nicaragua, Escurio and Yamasa. All of the cigars feature silver-on-black main bands instead of the traditional gold-on-white bands used by other Davidoff-branded This is one of two new limited edition 10th anniversary cigars launching next month. Davidoff is scheduled to release the AVO Syncro 10th Anniversary on April 3. Source: https://halfwheel.com/davidoff-escurio-10th-anniversary-limited-edition-shipping-next-month/448487/ 1 1
MrFolgers Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Wasn't impressed with the Nicaragua 10 year. For this price point, I'll wait and see if others like it first this time. I do enjoy the regular Escurio line.
Stevieboy Posted March 24 Posted March 24 The regular Escurio is the one and only Davidoff I keep in rotation. I've tried quite a few others but none rung my bell.
HenryMartin Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Never liked them, in fact, never came across anything palatable from Brazil.
