It's all about to get rolling again, baseball fans, with the Tokyo Series set to kick things off today... :spotlight:

How's your team looking? What are you projecting for their season?

Can anyone stop the Dodgers juggernaut?

Who will be on the mound for the Toledo Mud Hens opener?

Discuss these pressing topics and more below - good luck! (No, not you, Yankees :D)

Been a Reds fan all my life. Generally optimistic about the upcoming season, especially after they hired Francona and made some moves. They could be really good offensively and on the mound. Closer Alexis Diaz could maybe be a problem. If the entire lineup gets it together, could be a really good mix of power and speed, similar to what we saw in 2023. I'm excited to see a full year of Matt McLain, see how Elly de La Cruz progresses and what Austin Hays and Gavin Lux can do. 🤞

I think the Rangers will go as DeGrom, Nasty Nate, and Adolis go. So…Who knows?! Get to take my father-in-law on Sunday of opening weekend, and I’m hoping we get to see DeGrom hurl it that day.

Anyone but the Dodgers or Yankees. I'd like to see Cleveland take it and end their drought. I don't have any high hopes for Red Sox with the Yankees and the Orioles chugging along.

Giants fan here, I'm actually excited about this season. I feel like Chapman and Adames will be a great duo and will definitely lead this team. Verlander looks pretty good for being over 40 years old. Robbie Ray has had a good spring, and Webb is our work horse who I hope wins the CY Young this year. We have a young group of guys on the offensive and defensive side, as well as two or three young pitchers who could make a huge impact this season. Not to say we won’t have our work cut out with the Dodgers/Dbacks and Padres in our division, but I at least feel like we could have a pretty good season.

I can't wait for opening day. Looks like me and a couple buddies may hit the Sat. Night game at Oracle against Seattle. I prefer night games so I'm pumped.

That said watch the NL West. Its stacked right now. Obviously the Dodgers are riding high right now. I'm excited for the season though because the Giants have some young and upcoming players. A kid by the name of Bryce Eldridge will probably be making a debut this season. Another hype train like Luciano or is he the real deal?

We have a solid infield right now. Pitching looks to be solid. Offense is the big question mark. So yeah, bring it!

My Pirates have sucked for about 40 years now so kinda takes the fun out of MLB for me. Sure was fun watching them win the series in ‘79 though.

Not sure about the Royals. We had a good run last year but did not add much in the off season. I'm not expecting another post season run.

At least you have Paul Skenes.

I hope to get a chance to go to Oracle this season. In the meantime, I will be catching all the Giants game here at Petco when they come down. GO GIANTS!!

With Juan Soto joining the Mets in the off-season, there's no issue with the team generating a following as the season begins. I do wish Jose Iglesias was brought back. Who can forget "OMG!!!" Every team has injuries to contend with, I mean the Dodgers won the World Series last year with a number of key players missing. I guess it's how your replacements and everyday lesser-light players perform that matters as the season wears on, isn't it?

When you pay billions of dollars to stack your team with all stars, luxury tax be damned, you are bound to win a title at some point after choking a dozen times in the post season. 2020 doesn't count. It's funny because while I am vocal about my dislike for the Dodgers, they had a team who couldn't and wouldn't be denied. Everybody wants to play for the organization. Why wouldn't they?

That said, BEAT LA!!

Blue Jays for me. A few interesting signings. Nothing major IMO. Having not signed Vlad properly years ago, have left them in the position of either putting up really stupid numbers that near Soto's or just letting him go after this year. Vlad's a fan favourite but stat wise, he isn't up there with the big names and definitely not as consistent. Bichette might be returning to form. Whether his heart is in it, is TBD.

As a Blue Jays fan, I think this is going to be a very long year. On the field I think they should be marginally better this year, at least the bull pen, but the whole Vlad Jr saga will make for a long season. The Vladdy and Bichette era might be over before it really got going and who knows what the plan is with this team if they leave.

Long suffering Reds fan here. Old enough to remember watching the Big Red Machine from the 70's.

But what a machine it was at the time!

Growing up in Alabama, the Braves are my team. We have the “potential” to be great offensively (we did last year as well but that didn’t work out as hoped). I think our starting pitching will be fine. Bullpen is questionable though. No real plus moves during the off-season. Baseball is my game so I’ll be watching regardless and I’m ready for opening day!!!

Let's go Braves! Strider definitely looked promising in his debut with 27 pitches, 6 Ks, 0 hits, 0 walks! If he could make 20-25 starts and the Braves' hitters break out of their collective 2024 slump, they could make a run at the Dodgers.

For us Red Sox fans (I know of at least two of us on here :D) Crochet v Eovaldi... how ironic... new pig vs old pig :cigar:.

Great match-up!

@Capn_Jackson, will you be there?

No great surprise after ST, but Devers to DH, @JohnS, Bregman at 3rd.

Anyone getting along to Opening Day?

Won’t be there tomorrow, but I’ll be watching. I’m taking my father-in-law to Sunday’s game, and I was excited yesterday to see that deGrom will be throwing that day!

A group of us use to rent a school bus for the Royals opening day here in KC. Loads of fun but havent been in many years. I will watch when not busy with work. Have the Guardians here tomorrow.

As @JohnS mentioned, the addition of Soto has me giddy about the Mets this season. I will be at Citi Field as often as a litigator possibly can be, keeping the score while semi-erect at the thought of October baseball. I'm not the biggest fan of Carlos Mendoza, but my goodness am I excited to compete for a pennant.

Pennant. If Citi Field doesn't see a World Series game, I'll be very upset.

The New York Metropolitans. Or, Tom Homan... (kidding...)

Mariniers didn't really do anything in the offseason to help out their generational pitching staff, but spring is a time for optimism - it's our year!
