Popular Post El Presidente Posted March 6 Popular Post Posted March 6 I would have received 100 PM's / WhatsApps regarding this weather event today. Thank you but we are fine. Plenty of food, wine, rum, cigars. Mum and Dad's fridge is stocked, torches ready. I will keep you updated on this thread as it is of apparent interest. No Di, I didn't pick the most attractive weather presenter ...lovely hair however.... We will likely be offline (from time to time) for the next 48 hours. PM's emails may need to wait until Monday. 14

Fugu Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Gives the impression as if its latest impulse is directed eastward. Perhaps a bit early but looks like you good folks dodged a bullet there. 🤞
svivo Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Hopefully no major flooding that comes with it. Stay safe and dry!
tomj Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Glade you and the family are safe. Here in Western North Carolina we are still recovering from hurricane Helene from September. Be well 😌 1

JohnS Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Cyclone Alfred has been downgraded, so its damage from the ferocity of its wind will be lessened. It will also move slowly north of Brisbane, where most people live in South-East Queensland. That's the good news. However, currently there are up to 250,000 people without power and heavy rain is forecast from this afternoon for a few days. 3
