Hi everybody!

Honestly I mostly made this account after my Cubans ran out, and a local Irishman recommended I order online and that I might get lucky. I wanted to gather some tips about getting cigars through customs. The general approach I can tell is to buy less, at a higher quality, from free shipping sites (so as to not get tempted). Other than that it's like a gamble that can be kept a low stakes (but you can bet the house will always win in the end!).

Nevertheless, a bit about me:

I had the fortunate experience of travelling to Cuba when I was 18. I didn't smoke or really drink before then, but I had two incredible experiences: firstly trying my first cigar a tobacco farm in Vinalez - a super incredible puro. My next was joining a smoking, drinking conga line at the Buena Vista Social Club.

Since then I have kept up the smoking and drinking, and some of the conga-ing.

I'd say my favorite major cigar brands have been:

Montecristos, Padrons, A. Fuente.

I have had the unfortunate experience of buying and smoking American Cubans i.e. American H. Upmann, American Montecristo... they tasted like... oil, sweat and dogwater.

On the regular I mostly smoke cigarillos during work breaks - I'm especially a fan of the Partagas Serie Club. I didn't really like the Cohiba cigarillos. I don't really like cigarettes.

My biggest stockpile are the Puro Desnudos I bought last year - in particular the Churchills and Coronas I've really been enjoying.

I'd say my favourite size cigar is a Corona.
