Your FOH handle

I am curious how many of you came up with your FOH names. Some are really obvious, some are interesting, some are outright strange. I just combined my last name with a Rush album.

What's your story?

Pretty self explanatory here: 4-5 inches, 42-46 ring gage is where it's at for me.

I tried to come up with something creative, but ended up using my name. I'm not sure what that says about me.

I had planned to retire to my handle location, but California is such a joke that I wouldn't even vacation there. Thanks for the reminder, been meaning to change my handle.

Grimlock was my dog's name, named after a cartoon dinosaur from when I was a kid. He was an American Bulldog that passed on back in 2018. In the picture to the left you can see him hanging in mid-air. He used to try to jump up and bite the ceiling fan.

One of the guys on my podcast, Poobah, used to walk in our lounge and say "what's up Lounge Lizards?" when he'd see us sitting there - many moons before the podcast idea was ever conceived. One fateful night with plenty of Balvenie 12 Doublewood, he proceeded to give us all nicknames. Mine was originally "Opie" from the Andy Griffith show, but it was quickly changed to Gizmo (after The Gremlins character). Most everyone in my cigar life now calls me Giz including all of the members at our lounge (and my wife sometimes).

I’m probably in the outright strange category. 

In my early days of exploring the internet, say 2006 ish, I came across this absolute odd ball of a video - “magical bike ride” is just a phrase that has stuck with me. The video still makes me laugh (for many reasons).

Interesting. When I first saw your handle, I thought for sure it was a reference to Albert Hofmann's "magical" bike ride that ushered in the psychedelic era.

I was born in Saskatchewan and was a big fan of the local CFL team - the Roughriders. Unfortunately the league has become nearly unwatchable in recent years due to over-review. It used to be a fast and high scoring game, but has bogged down significantly. My avatar is considerably more interesting though.
