griller Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Dead of winter I'm a 1, maybe 2 per week. If it doesn't get much above 45 degrees F that goes to 0 per week. I don't like being cold. Come spring and fall, I could go to 4-5 per week. Love being outside on a clear day & under 85 degrees F & low humidity. Summertime where I live it's crazy hot & humid. I'm down to 1 to 2 per week this time of year since I can't smoke inside my home & sitting outside sweating isn't my idea of a good time. I need to win the lottery & buy a house in the North Carolina mountains for the spring, summer, and fall months & a home in Tampa for the winter. Sad part is the likelihood of this happening is probably better than the cheapest option, which would be to stay put & convince my wife to let me smoke inside summer and winter, LOL. 1
habanohal Posted February 13 Posted February 13 2 a day. Always an hour drive both ways, so it's my relaxing time. Past 3 weeks have been no work so 3 a day in garage with a heater going.
benfica_77 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Summer/ Warmer months 2-3 a week but Winter time 1 month. It probably averages out to 5-6 a month. Right now we are getting hit with a snowstorm with 25 cms and the last thing on my mind is sitting outside having a smoke. @El Presidente knowing how much you love Canada's winters its the ideal time to come! Also how's that hangover today? 1
Grimlock Posted February 13 Posted February 13 During the week I try to have 2-3 in the evening. Weekends I try to have a couple in the morning and a couple more in the evening but it doesn't always work out. Its fair to say 14 to 21 a week. Every Monday I try something new unless rain or wind keeps me inside.
BlueWS Posted February 13 Posted February 13 When it's above 65F I smoke two a week and my family thinks it's a disgusting habit and I'm going to die from cancer. 1 2
Socrates Posted February 14 Posted February 14 About 20 per month for me, only at night after dinner...way too hot during the day.

I can't hold a cigar, smoke and drive at the same time. I'm not coordinated enough I guess.

You won't know the difference anyways!" Like that? 1
Blazer Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Depending on the weather 0-10. More if we are on vacation and golfing.

To keep the cost down my morning cigar is now a cheap small one. I know couple of guys who'll be very upset too hear this. Working through the stash nicely! 1
ha_banos Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Wow. This thread has been eye watering/opening. I average I think in the 1-5 a month over the year. I've had a few 4 cigar days. On BBQ summer long days. But rare. 1
Redgoldband Posted February 15 Posted February 15 It being winter and with my mother-in-law in town, I’m averaging about 3 a month. Come spring/summer I’m looking at 9. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Michael Jordan said he smokes eight a day and i thought, "that's like 16 hours of smoking, no way". Doesn't your palate wear down? This is the main thing for me, once I hit the 3rd cigar of the day I don't really feel like I'm tasting anything. If my palate didn't fade I'd definitely smoke more.
REesq Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I find that my consumption has varied considerably over the years, mostly based on opportunity. In the 80’s to early 90’s in Chicago, it was pretty much 2 cigars a week except for the coldest winter weeks. When I moved to LA in 95, it jumped to 5-10 a week for the next decade. Between the year around great weather and a multitude of really nice cigar lounges it was easy. As most of the cigar lounges disappeared, I eventually settled down to 4 or 5 a week at my private club. Now that I split my time between LA and Houston I still smoke 5 or 6 a week while in LA, but considerably less in Houston as it’s too hot and humid to smoke outside for so much of the year and I haven’t yet found a really suitable lounge that’s convenient.

Li Bai Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I had been smoking 3 cigars a day in my early smoking days, now it would be 2-3 a week. Though my current rate is financially much more viable (given I smoke mostly CCs) it's not why I slowed down, I happen to enjoy them even more now 🤔 3
