Couldn't keep them near any other cigars for sure. I did have a RP/DE Java. Absolutely horrible experience. 🤮 2
TacoSauce Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Anisette Avantis are powerful yet intriguing. One of my earliest cigars was a rum-flavored stick. I enjoyed it at the time and it was very memorable. Have had a Bourbon infused stick a couple of times. A nice novelty smoke. I've had a couple of Lars Tetens cigars, which I think must be infused. The flavoring was very light, which allowed it to fit into the blend profile, without being overpowering. Do I deliberately smoke any flavored cigars today? No. 1

Chibearsv Posted February 3 Posted February 3 In general, I'm not a fan of anything artificially flavored. Can't stand BBQ potato chips as an example. As a result, I've never tried a "flavored" cigar. I have tried the Pappy bourbon barrel cigars but I don't know if they the type of cigars that are the subject of this question. They are ok but much too sweet for my palate to be a desired smoke. 1

Havanaaddict Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Back in the 90's I started with a cigar called LA DIVA CIGAR it was a "3 year old Dominican tobacco mellowed with a 30 year old French Cognac", that and another called Rum Runners! It was very short lived before I started trying every cigar the Cigar Aficionado had on there monthly list!😆 1
99call Posted February 3 Posted February 3 My brother bought me a small box of black tobacco demi tasse sized cigars from Prague, very early on in me smoking cigars. They weren't flavoured exactly. But they had sweet eucalyptus dipped tips. They were very strange, but I remember enjoying them. 1

Salsteak Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I answered yes, I enjoyed the Nub Nuance line. Not particularly strong flavors but done well. I had smoked a box of their Maduros (not flavored) and the flavored ones didn't give me the sometimes artificial taste that accompanies some brands (i.e., ACID from Drew Estate doesn't taste good to me, similar to my dislike of fake sugar in coffee!!). I also liked the Java Maduro. I think by Rocky Patel and Drew Estates. Great morning cigar on a Sunday after a weekend of debauchery!!!!

unaslob Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I started my smoking cigars career on Nat Sherman’s in the 90’s. If I remember correctly there was a slight sweetness to some of their sticks- Hobart/Hamiltons. Very subtle. So when Drew Estate came out with the Acid one I enjoyed them. Most of the acids I am not a fan of but still will take a short blondie for a quick smoke. One neat thing about those blondie is they are short and quick and mild enough that you don’t taste cigar for rest of the day. At this stage in the game I might have 1-2 a year. My collection and taste has changed over the years so the flavored issues are more of nostalgia. I enjoy aging more and flavors sticks age like milk. 1

Acid, Tatiana, Java Mint & Latte, etc., etc. I smoke one of her flavored cigars occasionally for a change of pace. The Tabak Especial are pretty damn tasty for breakfast, especially after a night of over consumption. 1
zeedubbya Posted February 4 Posted February 4 They USED TO sell these little rum soaked cigars in Key West and they aren’t bad really. Not great, and I’m not sure if the rum really does anything at all but taste like a basic “cigarette-y” cigar with some sort of an odd tang. I would say the only enjoyable flavored tobacco experience I have ever had is in pipe tobacco. Even to this day around the holidays I get a hankering for that cherry vanilla type taste only Lane 1Q can provide. Doesn’t take me long to snap out of it and remember I like the taste of actual tobacco and not other crapola so I reach for the always awesome Winnie and I forget about it for another year. In the same vein I know (from a very reliable source) a lot of the ultra premium pipe tobacco blends are at minimum very lightly flavored with something. Smokers Haven Cognac and Esoterica Pembroke have some light flavor which is so so good. Probably it’s Cognac I am thinking (brilliant I know) 🤔… 1
