Total speculation...maybe it marks the start of a batch or something like that. Do you have a rough idea of the prevalence in the packs you've seen? I.e., number checked vs number found.
Chibearsv Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Could it be as simple as - ink pad - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - ink pad - stamp …? That’s what @Greenhorn2 boxes look like.

That’s what @Greenhorn2 boxes look like I don't know. Possibly. Ask Rob if you can see his stamp. Lol.

Difficult to estimate since it is pretty heterogeneous – perhaps one out of 30 to one out of a hundred? There is not just two, but three types actually that are clearly to be differentiated from another: The bright lime-green one (vast majority and likely “standard”), then a lighter blue-green version (like in my Mag46 / Favoritos pack above) and an even paler light cyan-blue one (like in my most recent D6 box, and likely the same as in the OP’s pics and in your Cohiba pic, Alex, which I at first thought were attributed to a different UV-wavelength). 23 hours ago, Chibearsv said: Could it be as simple as - ink pad - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - stamp - ink pad - stamp …? Well, not as per today's printing standards . But get what you mean, have checked for that. Apart from minute variation, such an effect seems not to be at play. On close examination of those three - what I would call - “main” types, the printed motifs are slightly different. And also the general print in the visual range is different between them, plus to a part showing different label perforation in those groups and also a certain grouping of code-numbers. Perhaps different suppliers and/or different production runs. I don't see any systematics so far. 1 1
