Chas.Alpha Posted February 6 Posted February 6 People in North Carolina seem obsessed with their cell phones, especially when driving. I cannot think of a day when I finally am able to pass some moron who’s driving, would have been considered likely intoxicated just a few years ago, has his/her head in their lap with their thumbs moving at light speed on their mobile phone. If you are more than 4 cars back at a red light, be prepared to honk the horn. One of those four has an important text that cannot wait to be answered. I have asked the locals how long iPhones have been available here. My original guess was under a year. 3

Nope. ☮️

BlueWS Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Instagramers. I hate...instagramers. There's nothing interesting or entertaining about them. I hope they continue to walk backwards off cliff faces and boats at sea.

SirVantes Posted February 7 Posted February 7 19 hours ago, ha_banos said: you do NOT have to try everything once Absolutely! Which brings me to a pet peeve - people who say YOLO to justify their stupid, reckless behaviour. Yes, you only live once, you idiot - that's why you shouldn't take stupid risks like free climbing and potentially shorten that life and miss out on so much more than life could offer. Which brings me to something else that chafes me in the incorrect manner - anything prefaced by "free". Free climbing, free diving, free running will all kill or maim you. Free jazz is...I dunno what. Even free love and free speech is iffy now. 1

shortsmokes Posted February 9 Posted February 9 My state banning literally everything on the planet. I went to order pants and a hunting vest for my dog. I got to checkout and was hit with "This item is not available for shipping to California." A few weeks later I went to a different store to order gloves. Same deal...not available for shipping to California. I guess this is that slippery slope everyone talks about. How do people in other places survive if their government doesn't protect them from the dangers of... clothes? 1 1

Someone/thing in your house needs pants. What's the logic behind that? 'Pants may be known to cause cancer in the State of California'?? I feel the pain. Cheers!
