NC or CC, crystal ball some cigar predictions 2025. We will pull this up December to review 

 

1. Cuba/US discussions commence on an embargo drop. It will get ugly/uglier prior. It will all be in the US favour. Unlikely to be concluded until 2026/27

Odds, 75:1

 

2.  New lines announced by Habanos for regular production in Diplomatico/El Rey Del Mundo. 

Odds: 50:1

 

3. Habanos concludes it's 100% stake in all major distributors. 

Odds: 10:1  Maybe one or two holdouts

Would love to see Sancho receive another hat or two. Double Robusto perhaps. A regional perfecto would be nice with a little upgrade on the bands. By no means a prediction - just wishful thinking.

  • Leaf supply will limit the types of cigars they can put out.  Longer cigars that require bigger wrapper leaf wont be made for regular prod cigars. Any good, large wrappers will be saved for the premium releases. 50:1
• Prices stagnate for the most part. Some will go up. None will go down. 25:1
• Trinidad boxes will continue to sit. 1:1
• Sharply dressed "Habanos Influencers" will continue to wax poetic on the benefits of "plume" as Habanos products gather dust as well as plume, worldwide. 2:1
• I will not spend any money on Habanos products in 2025 1:1

I think that sales on habanos will stagnate/slow. I'm not sure the best way to 'track' that necessarily, but I think we'll see more and more reg production sit around as old timers and newbies refuse to pay 600+ for a box of D4. 

HSA will still turn a profit. There's a reason they're playing this game and trying to become a 'luxury' product. 

We WONT see any of the new 'Vintage' program sticks released in 2025. (this one may not even be a stretch as we all know HSAs track record with this sort of stuff).

Just noticed that was my 666th post. I usually try not to be so "half empty" (so to speak), but something about current-Cohiba was inspirational.

(To be fair, I well enjoy old ones, just am challenged by the new reality on many fronts.)

Oof... That's a depressing take, but sadly within the realm of possibility.

During an apparent attempt at an FOH forum takeover, @Chas.Alpha severely underestimates the power of El Prez (and his carefully placed family members in the regime) and severely overestimates the willingness and dedication of his fellow cohorts (who haven't really bought into his plan that I've seen), and he is banned even before he has been able to swing his own ban hammer.
