El Presidente Posted Tuesday at 10:20 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:20 PM Details are on HalfWheel https://halfwheel.com/saint-luis-rey-belicosos-edicion-regional-alemania-goes-on-sale-in-germany/446555/ Production is limited to 6,000 individually numbered boxes of 25 cigars, with pricing set at €20 ($20.78) per cigar and €500 ($519.59) per box. 2 1
JohnS Posted Tuesday at 10:39 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:39 PM From the article..."This is the first time that the Saint Luis Rey brand has been selected for an Edición Regional release in 5th Avenue Product Trading’s 35-year history." Yes, it's a fair price. But more that that, maybe the distributor, 5th Avenue, wants to recoup their investment here? Saint Luis Rey is not exactly a popular or well-known Habanos marca. The brand has its ties to the United Kingdom but is it even known there nowadays? After all, there has only been eight Regional Editions that have used the Saint Luis Rey brand since the program was launched twenty years ago in 2005. 3
99call Posted Tuesday at 11:06 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:06 PM If the wrapper is that colour. And they are fresh 'n' fruity they'll be a hit. 2
ha_banos Posted Tuesday at 11:13 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:13 PM SLR does have a bit of a following over here I'd say. I've heard not so great things about La Cuna - I'll hang onto those reviews because I couldn't get any. I'll have to put in an order. 1
Chibearsv Posted yesterday at 03:41 PM Posted yesterday at 03:41 PM In this market, they're under-priced. And available in 25. I'd love to give them a try. Most REs are going for $40+ now. 3
Popular Post Garand Posted yesterday at 04:37 PM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 04:37 PM Just got a box and already tasted one: very good! 14
BrightonCorgi Posted yesterday at 04:42 PM Posted yesterday at 04:42 PM I'd buy a box if I have an opportunity to do so. Look great! Do the German LCDH's have them in stock? Been forever since I bought from one of them. 1
Garand Posted yesterday at 04:49 PM Posted yesterday at 04:49 PM They have them in stock I think. But you kinda have to talk them into selling you one as it’s limited supply. 1
pyrobob Posted yesterday at 05:14 PM Posted yesterday at 05:14 PM Yeah, SLR doesn't seem to have much of a following like other brands but judging by the look of those, should garner more attention. Price seems fair.
ChanceSchmerr Posted yesterday at 06:21 PM Posted yesterday at 06:21 PM SLR is still my favorite marca. I've a work trip to NL in March (and again in April). Hopefully I can find a box of these over the border in Dusseldorf at that time... Price seems pretty fair for this day and age. Highway robbery if this was 10 years ago LOL 1
LizardGizmo Posted yesterday at 06:38 PM Posted yesterday at 06:38 PM Great price - would love to see this become the norm. 2
Perla Posted yesterday at 06:51 PM Posted yesterday at 06:51 PM Price is fair. Supply is unfair. 20 LCDH in Germany, nice franchise concept from HSA, the result is obviously competition, competition, competition. If you are lucky, you will leave with a box. Mostly with a max of 5 single cigars. How I wish the good old days back where bulk buying was so freaking normal. Nowadays the dripping supply and selling leave me speechless. 3

I looked at the one German LCDH I have bought from in the past and they were sold out on this cigar 😒

If you go to the shop or Casa you could be lucky. Mostly it’s reserved for the locals and customers who are buying there for ages. That’s fair imho. Passing by customers-> no chance. Reservation from unknown customers-> no chance. Maybe one or two Germans here on FOH could help you out. I gave up chasing RE and Limited Editions. Or special cigars. I am happy if I could drag down some normal unfancy cigars. 2

Thanks for these tips, Ute - perhaps saves me the trouble of going from store to store in Germany to find these in March/April... 1
