BrightonCorgi Posted January 7 Posted January 7 A new FDA rule being implemented will ban tobacco products over a certain percent of nicotine. This is expected save many lives and lower addiction of deadly nicotine in tobacco. Will this limit the sales of cigars as well going forward. Biden admin working to effectively ban cigarettes in 11th hour proposal a 'gift' to cartels, expert says | Fox News 1
Popular Post BoliDan Posted January 7 Popular Post Posted January 7 I put as much belief in Fox as I believe there's a flying spaghetti monster. They've been caught lying outrageously so many times that they've had to claim they aren't an actual news agency to get out of law suits. They've had more redactions than all other news agencies combined. Propaganda mill was always Murdoch's goal. But from the article it seems the FDA is targeting specific tobacco products, like cigarettes and vapes. But the FDAs report of cigars are aw harmful as cigarettes in the 90s shows how stupid they are. 6 1

Islandboy Posted January 7 Posted January 7 3 hours ago, chasy said: Dunked on Yeah...no. Did you read both articles? One is the typical fear mongering and sensationalism expected, complete with dire predictions of violence in the streets. The other, while arguably overly-optimistic on the positive effects this will have, pretty much sticks to the facts. 2
SCgarman Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Not going to happen. Some here should stop with the "sensationalism". If I am in need of it, there are plenty of channels on the TV. 2

Cigar Surgeon Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Naw. Last I heard they can't even properly test for nicotine levels in cigars, trying to hold them to some sort of nicotine standard would be nigh impossible. Can't see it passing. 2 1
chasy Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Politicians are the worst. Aren’t there more important things to be worrying about? 1

01Vert Posted January 11 Posted January 11 FYI. The ATF has the same system for rule making but I have repeatedly seen them just run things through much quicker and with little actual recognition of public comment. I’m in the business so I typically see this rule making go sideways occasionally, however my own opinion is this will be either altered to a vague ghost of what’s proposed or just quietly get shelved for four years. 1 1
